Cool place but a little dusty and smelly

Very unique exhibit. Bought the VIP experience without reading the details. Showed up with my 15 year old son and was surprised to find out that the photographer was going to take us around and take photos of us. This was a really nice surprise and having someone capture those special moments made the experience unforgettable. The rooms of each exhibit are fantastic with lots of details.

This place was amazing!!! We made it through the entire thing in about 1 hour & we took our time taking tons of pictures. I'd recommend wearing dark clothes to stand out against the lights. Totally worth the drive for us.

This place is falling apart a bit inside and it seemed poorly maintained. Anyone hosting an event here has to add a lot of extra lipstick to the pig. There must be better venues in SF to host a conference. That said the conference I attended had great content!!! The venue detracted.

This is the old mint. There is no minting that goes on here, out is no longer owned by the federal government. The 'new mint' which is owned by the federal government is about 1 mile west
I believe the Old Mint is still not generally open to the public. But it is open (and very busy) for annual SF History Days event. Next one is March 2 and 3, 2019. https://sfhistorydays.org/
Is the san Francisco. Mint making the Sally Ride and the Wilma Mankiller quarters?
Wednesday-Sunday through 10/31, with a day or two off for other events. Google Terror Vault for more info!
$2.00 to $9.00. Go to ebay.com and put coin in description. Go to pcgs.com for grading information.
This is not a working mint. Historical only.
Everything by weight but no exchange on any foreign coins due to expensive shipping.
The new Mint was opened in 1937. Beginning in 1955, circulating coinage from San Francisco was suspended for 13 years. In 1968, it took over most proof coinage production from the Philadelphia Mint, but continued striking a supplemental circulating coinage from 1968 through 1974.
I think your bank can help you submit that to see if that cereal has been claimed or disputed yet. Think it's 4 corners and a cereal or half and if 1 cereal missing is the wait time to confirm undisputed.. but I am unsure xD
What type of coin is it? If you post a picture I can help.

The mint only sell current years' coin sets. Try finding coin dealers in your city or the Internet
Myles means the building is rented for special events now. It's is not a functioning mint anymore and doesn't sell anything.
Yes, you go in groups/tours. A lot of fun
No gift shop. The main level is just open rooms. The lower level is a limited mint facility.
