It's not bad at all idk why people say it is but it's pretty easy and lay back if you ask me idk what people are expecting considering they are there to get off drugs. They are not getting a 5 star hotel! It's a detox center. But if I was you I would go. You can leave anytime if your not comfortable

It's a longer wait for the men. I haven't been there in years but I remember once they took longer than usual w me and I called and spoke to someone and told them and they called me back not too long after.

Yes. Call medi-cal and tell them you're homeless living in LA COUNTY and need an expedited switch (which will still take about a month or two to finalize) and once they do that, ask for PROOF OF ACTION. I did this for tarzana and they gave me their fax number to give to medi-cal so they could directly send it to the treatment so I would be able to get in sooner. I recommend switching your medi Cal to LA right now or as soon as they open if you're trying to get into a detox and residential. LA has tons of good places. Mine was out of ORANGE CO. And they do not have ANY residential medical detoxs, only outpatient (methadone clinics n whatnot) and non-medical residential detox (meaning they will give you a bed to cold turkey sweat it out unless you have another type of insurance, a ton of cash, or you're resourceful, persistent, and lucky enough to get a scholarship or a grant for a bed.

I have 2 friends who went to detox there. They are the real thing. If you are serious about getting help, this is one of the best places to go that is publicly funded or supported with financial assistance. Start with detox then take advantage of their help with referrals to continuing residential rehab and/or aftercare programs.

Not usually. We need to throughly search everything and sometimes wash and dry all clothing. We are a large facility and always very busy. If you contact a supervisor, you might be able to make arrangements

Only if they have parent - child program ... However, if you do go there be ready to change your life ... If you dont its a waste of time for you and your child.. Your loses loses too because you bad babymomma...

If the patient is in Detox there are NO visiting hours.

No you can go there no matter what and is actually a good idea cause they cant touch you when your inside one of these facilities and it helps at the court hearing so go for it! And good luck to you hit me up if you need anything questions about recovery or otherwise I'm always in and out of recovery till I finally make it but I have a huge knowledge about this stuff from experience

Go as you are, you don't have to be sober, you just have to want help. I accompanied 2 friends for their intake interviews and they were asked if they indulged that day. They answered truthfully (both with a yes) and they both were still admitted.
