In the past this was a good place to fish.though it was catch and return it was fun. Im very disappointed that the canal is drained and fishing is not possible

This place is gorgeous! It feels so remote. Nice large parking area at the trailhead. Main trail is paved and goes along the river from a distance. Many footpaths going down to the river, somewhat narrow, muddy at some spots. Great spot for fishing and swimming. Full of fun trees for climbing and huge sycamores.
