Everyone was so helpful, knowledgeable, and kind. The aquarium is small but has a lot of things to see and learn about in a fairly compact space. Wonderful experience!

The Crab cove visitor Center is part of the East Bay Regional Park District, and is located at 1252 McKay Av, Alameda, Ca 94501. The place is a kind place to visit and Discover some history, animals, fishes and plants that lives at the Bay area. Inside there objects, pictures, videos and a lot of things that shows how rich this place are. Addictionaly also there are the only one public bathrooms at the Alameda, everything clean and well done. I recommend it a visit there and also enjoy the beautiful view from the Robert W Crown Memorial State Beach.

Crab Cove is a large park looking out over the bay. Beautiful sweeping views of the bay area and some nice trails to walk along. There is a really nice visitor's center with some great displays, old photos, a video and a ton of local history. I had no idea there used to be an amusement park back in the day. There was a docent who was super-friendly and very informative. There are several picnic and barbecue areas with tables and barbecue pits. A few horse shoe pits also. There is a parking lot at each end of the park and currently bathrooms are closed due to covid. There was 1 port a potty in the parking lot next to the visitor center.

It is a unique state park that allows fishing. Ask the ranger who lives in grounds about it.
Not at the cove itself. There are some a short walk away though.
The visitor's center has no entry fee, however they may charge $5 for parking on a busy weekend.
