It's the only place you can have your dog off leash and people usually only bring everybody people and dog friendly dogs I've never seen a dog fight there my three are great with everybody well the big dogs scare them a little lol they don't know whether to stay still or run for their life their learning 1 and 2 years old. Little ones

Beautiful slice of beach heaven for our four-legged furry one. When we got there there were maybe five or six other dogs but 30 minutes later it was completely empty. Considering it was New Year's Eve I'm not surprised but for such a huge area it was awesome to have it all to yourself for a moment. Definitely at the top of the list for off leash dog parks we have ever been to. By the way all kinds of restaurants on the way down to the dog park right off the water. Serving everything you can think of right from the ocean. Thank you Mendocino for this little gem.

The actual Beach itself is great!! Hold Driftwood camp fire Rings plenty of room to run, the only problem is is that the sand is kind of soft I know I know but it looked like there were a bunch of rocks at first so you just go to the right and then there's a dog park. Unfortunately with all that's going on right now, there seem to be quite a few people who are living here, who may have a few issues that a lot of people don't have. So as long as you don't mind the incessant screaming and yelling at each other it's pretty nice, they've never interrupted her arm to me so I figured you're just talkin the same people I talk to you inside my head hahaha

It's really nice, if you like watching the boats coming in or want to capture some good sunset shots! But man, the aroma of the sea gets quite pungent down there. The beach is rocky, and has a lot of sticks and logs. But it's a nice little alcove...of seaweed! 😁

Yes, it seems to be. There is a homeless encampment across the river and east of the bridge. Lock your doors.
