Small selection of craft beer, cool atmosphere and great service located in the heart of Madison.

A reasonably priced Restaurant with big portions. Great atmosphere, indoors and out.Variety of liquor and beers options to choose from. Menu is not too big, with a lot of good selections even for vegetarians. The service was fast. staff was really attentive and welcoming. We ordered house hummus which comes with pita and veggies (delicious). Also deviled eggs which had a kick from jalapeño it’s was super delicious . Will return again to try the entrees.

We ordered take-out from Bottle Hill Tavern last weekend and were both satisfied with our meals. I felt that the overall quality and the size of our meals was commensurate to what we spent. We took the suggestion on the online menu and placed our order earlier in the evening (around 5:30) and were back home eating just after 6. My husband was happy with the half rack of ribs and particularly enjoyed the coleslaw it came with. Just sweet enough, he said. I had the turkey & stuffing dinner. Ironically enough, the turkey was my least favorite part of the dish. All very thinly sliced white meat, more what you'd make a sandwich with the day after Thanksgiving. However, the sage stuffing was absolutely delicious. The mashed potatoes were good (AKA real) and it came with a little side of cranberry sauce which I especially appreciated. The mashed was supposed to come with gravy but that didn't make the bag. Neither did the ice cream that was promised with the apple pie, but I survived. We agreed that we'd be willing to give Bottle Hill another try but next time in person.

The French onion soup was my favorite part of the whole meal. The potato skin appetizer was ok. Looking back on the choice, I would have tried something else. Wait staff were friendly. Bread basket had a few pieces of hard bread which butter didn't even help. For dinner, I got a full rack of ribs, which I regretted after I started eating them. The sauce reminded me of something you would use on meatloaf. They were meaty but not fall off the bone or exactly fresh. (Mostly hard to eat) I just tore through the whole thing looking for meat that was ok so I didn't have to take any in a to go and have to see it again. The okra side dish was enjoyable but not like oh yum. The macaroni and cheese side dish took the cake. It smelled and looked awful. It tasted like last week's potluck was being used for a week straight. It was sad. My friend liked their steak. I ordered Dessert to see more could go right. Apple pie took number 2 to the French Onion Soup. I'm sure this place has it in them to do better. For $120, I was expecting that they would notice what they were serving. I would come back for the soup and give something else a try. Maybe.

Hi -- We do not currently accept reservations -- thank you - BHT
Its in the middle of downtown. There is ample parking all over within a 2 minute walk of bottle Hill wether it's street parking or the two local lots. All parking is free, but it fills up quickly, so the later you arrive the father your gonna half to walk
Hi Klaire we have a few different varieties of our wings -- if you like the traditional style wings similar to Poor Herbies ask for the "Red Hot" or tell your server you would like traditional buffalo sauce on your wings -- we hope you like it! BHT
