Although none of us would enjoy walking into an animal shelter, St. Hubert's seems better organized than most. There is a clear area for greeting visitors and accepting donations. They have cats, dogs and sometimes rodents (gerbils, guinea pigs, etc.) for adoption. They provide a lot of guidance in their adoptions and do a good job of ensuring fit. They also offer training for pet guardians and their fur children. I have heard some rumors of problems due to recent management and structural changes but have not experienced that personally. In addition to adoptions and training, they also have a store with pet products and branded merch. Proceeds go to support the shelter. Interestingly, I found their some of their prices to be somewhat lower than those for the same products at retail stores.

Don't bother adopting from here or donating anything to them; there are other shelters that are much more deserving. They're charging $200 for kittens that haven't even had the bare basic health tests done (pretty much every other shelter in the state does these tests at least once prior to adoption and they're charging far less in adoption fees), they throw out more than half of the things that get donated and I don't even think they donate to the pet food bank anymore, they shut down numerous programs that were originally set up to help their community because they weren't profitable enough, they euthanize any animal that isn't 100% perfect and ready to adopt right then and there despite having the funding and resources to help them, and they would rather import animals from other states and countries than help the animals in their own back yard. The latter makes them much more money which is the most important aspect of running an animal shelter, I guess. I knew this shelter was bad back when I worked there and it seems like they've only gotten worse in the years since. Again, go adopt from somewhere else; a shelter that puts the animals over profits, not St. Hubert's.

I have adopted three dogs from St-Huberts. The people there are wonderful. The dogs have always been healthy. I highly recommend them.
The best thong to do is call their office there are some small dogs and if they have your name they will contact you..good luck
Give them a call...
They have all size dogs for adoption
The event is being held next weekend during normal business hours.
I don't think so. Perhaps call them.
I have a two dogs Labrador They need a nice home to be relocate would you be interest?
YES! 12-6pm. All adoptions are free.
Yes, red collar are pets that are older.
Of course, they will take dog. You may want to try their training courses first
Yes currently there are several rabbits available for adoption
Hi! We don't have venmo right now.
You might want to try the Home To Home program. It offers a direct-to-adopter platform to find a pet a new home without bringing them to the shelter. In just a few short steps, you can create a listing for the pet and connect with families looking to adopt. It’s free to use for both pet parents and adopters, and gives potential adopters an opportunity to learn more about an animal directly from their current family. To learn more, visit our Home To Home website at home-home.org/shelter/st-huberts-animal-welfare-center.
You may call them first in advance, before you bring the pets. Or you can take them to Newark humane society.
"No kill" is a misleading term. St. Hubert's doesn't euthanize due to space in the shelter or age of an animal. However, they are an organization who is at the front line of many situations. If an animal is suffering due to bad injury or illness and a comfortable quality of life cannot be achieved, then they will humanely euthanize. There has also been occasions where the level of aggression in an animal has made them too dangerous to home (they have certified behavior councilors on staff). They'll always hope to be able to modify behavior first, but once and a while, they find it cannot be done.
Look in their website. I don't work for them.
Just call them. They'll be happy to help!

If you rescued your dog from St Hubert's spaying is included in the adoption cost. Ask about the clinical technique used and ask your vet if that is their way of performing the operation.
They have in the past, with covid don't know.
You have to do it online. They have a link on their Facebook page. They give you a day and time. Check back daily for different days and times. That's how I got my appointment.
I called but, they have a three-month waiting list to take in rabbits
You can go to their website, find a dog you are looking for and then call them for availability
Puppies are $425. See their website.
You can call them to see what they have currently available
Yes they will take him and find a good home.
They do but you have to call ahead first, sometimes they don't have room to take an animal right away.
They have prices on theyre website . you might want to look there
Your best bet is to go in and see what they have. If you call that's what they'll tell you. This is a first-class operation I would go nowhere else to get a puppy.
That dont sound right ... I would call back and say that animal control told you to call them because they are a non kill shelter...
Call and speak with them. There are way too many factors to consider than anyone who is not an employee can answer.
R. Garcia. Check the St. Hubert's website on Wednesday nights. That's when they post the list of new puppies they receive weekly. And on Saturdays in Morristown they are always available to show the puppies that are available. Good luck.
Call your local government. They will be able to tell you who does animal control for your town and advise you on how to proceed. St Huberts does not take on animals from the general public.
I will volunteer to
They do not kill for space!
St.Hubert's is is a wonderful place my cat was there for 3 months. I live in Plainfield NJ I can't understand how Snowball aka Buddy Got to St.Hubert's but i do know it was a a blessing in disguise
Depending in the animal you adopt, prices for adoptions vary. They are also more reasonable in fees when adopting special needs animals, and offer long-term coverage for care. You will be best suited by calling the agency, as they will discuss the flat fees for adopting adult cats and dogs, which is less expensive than adopting a puppy or kitten.
You have serious problems in your state with animal overpopulation. Why do you have to come all the way to nj to get one when your shelters are packed and animals are euthanized? Just wondering.
St Huberts accepts blankets and sheets but not pillows for donation
No,
