Underrated since lots of people pass it by to go to Moffitt/Doe.

Questions & Answers

I have an account at the Bancroft but have misplaced my username and password. Can you help me find it or find it for me and send it to me? I have a duplication order from the library that I am trying access: #80851.

Hi - Google Business will not allow me to answer with sensitive info, so we'll be contacting you through the Aeon system.

How do I request material on BANC MSS 2010/23

All requests go through our online system "Aeon". On-site material can be seen same day. Some items are in off-site storage and require advance notice. Shipping can take up to three days. A how-to is here: http://guides.lib.berkeley.edu/aeon

I Diana Dane Dajani have in my position the papers , notes, book drafts and material left by my late father George Ezra Dane. The latter wrote , published books about California during the gold rush. Would you be interested to hold his material ?

The Bancroft Library does collect materials on/from the Gold Rush. Please contact our Acquisition Department at bancacq(at)lists.berkeley.edu.

I'm a UC Berkeley grad (class of '69), and an author. I need to collect a few books and papers for an upcoming article on land use and climate change. Am I allowed to check out books or papers from Bancroft, only read or copy them?

The Bancroft is a non-circulating library - all material must be consulted in our Reading Room. You may take reference photos of the items, or submit duplication orders for photocopies and scans. Access information can be found here: http://www.lib.berkeley.edu/libraries/bancroft-library/plan-a-visit
