I took my kids to Sylvan for summer camp and they loved it so much that they wouldn't stop asking me to take them there. The staff at Sylvan in Tarzana make learning fun and they definitely motivate the kids to want to learn. Ms. Nikka is a sweetheart and my kids adore her. She's caring and firm at the same time. Staying on top of their learning goals and not allowing them to get bored. Thank you Mr. Joe and all the wonderful members of Sylvan for making learning so much fun my kids. They're both academically ahead of their school curriculum and I'm so grateful.

It is so rewarding to work for a company that acts as a family and provides such a nurturing environment for students, families, and teachers alike. I enrolled my daughter so that she can receive extra support since you can only do so much through distant/Zoom learning at her school. I am thankful to have found them during such a challenging time and that they were able to accommodate in person classes while staying safe and following protocols. Not only does my daughter receive assistance with her writing skills, she genuinely looks forward to her sessions. The staff working here care about the kids and it truly makes a difference. My 9 year old son has received enrichment from Sylvan's educational programs in the past at the Woodland Hills location which has now moved to Tarzana. His educational self-esteem had a big leap there and though at first he was hesitant, he began enjoying it in no time. During the Pandemic he joined the daily distant learning program at the new Tarzana location, I was happy to see how each student had their own area way afar from one another. At pick up time I'd witness the games they all played at a distance with masks on. He told me that hand washing and sanitizing hands and other protocols were big rules there. The director is super funny and involved with the kids' school assignments and he kept track of any assignment due and gave me print out of those. They offered tools for me to recognize the areas in which I could keep track with my son's classes. My son was caught up in no time and loved the token system where he'd choose his own reward from the indoor gift shop. I've been very pleased with their Robotics in the past as well. If you're the type of parent who wants to support their child in academics and school ethics in a fun and innovative way, I highly recommend this location. Super fun, supportive with chances to apply themselves independently.
