i flew out to help my son move from California to Texas. New Horizons brokered a moving company, Sky Van Line Inc. to move him and his family and a blind guy who lives with them. Sky Van Line has a 2.6 rating! When my son was trying to make a decision he received aggressive, fear tactic calls from Sky Van Lines and New Horizons. He agreed to pay nearly $15,000+ because of their aggressive fear tactics. They just kept calling. They promised the moving team would arrive when his family did. The prices changes substantially several times after they were loading the trailer and he couldn't send them away. They only took cash and cleaned out his savings. It seemed like a RICO scam to me. New Horizons should be ashamed sending Sky Van Line Inc. We drove HARD for two days to meet the truck which didn't show up. When we called they made excuses about putting their things in storage and it could take weeks before it arrived. What a SCAM! It was miserable watching a young family with two babies live on a hard floor with no beds. I had to help financially as they lived off of canned food and Taco Bell. I think their things got there two weeks after they were promised and the blind guy, who makes his living online, couldn't get a lot of his stuff to work because it is STILL IN STORAGE plus other things that belong to my son. We could have done a better job with a couple trucks ourselves for a lot less money.

I did not choose them, Cardinals Van Lines did. Do not use this company I should of know something was up when on my move out date, they attempted to increase my moving cost by over 50%. I had to leave several things behind. This was 8/11. I moved from CA to GA and as of 9/15 my items have still not left California. I have been sleeping on the floor for almost a month. I still do not have an ETA for my items.

They give us dates of pick-up & delivery along with pricing for an out of state move. Once picked up on Saturday June 19th pricing went up almost 50%. It's now Tuesday June 29th & we still don't have our stuff. We also made the drive 4 days after them & we have been in TX since Thursday & as of today the 29th our stuff is still in CA with no ETA. We should have just bought all new furniture. I wouldn't recommend using this company to anyone. You'll be sitting in an empty house buying the items you already own all over again like us.

I couldn't have had a worse experience with this moving company. The movers showed up looking like they were hired off of the street. They packed up my items and were off. 8 days later they showed up at my new place. The driver had hired some random people to help with the move and only one showed up, leaving them very understaffed. As they began to move my furniture inside I noticed that everything that wasn't in a box was broken. My couch, TV, TV console, chairs, bikes, piano and lamp were all destroyed. It was so bad that the driver called the owner of the company and told him he had never seen anything this bad. I filled out the appropriate paperwork for the insurance and after 4 months of phone calls and emails, I was told they would reimburse me $149 for the $5,000 worth of damage they caused. Ive spent the last month emailing the company and trying to get them to pay for the damages they caused. They have taken at least a week to respond to every email. Today I was told that they would offer me $649 and that was their final offer. Please do yourself a favor and find another Moving company. They are not reliable and do not take any ownership for the damages they cause. You are better off throwing your stuff away and buying new stuff at your new location. It will save you the headache and frustration from dealing with such a horrible company.

I am still waiting for management to get in contact with me I called a couple of times since the last time I talked to the lady on the phone, when I was told I have to pay for storage when it was stated to Mike that I was doing the 30 day free stora

Tamiko, according to our paperwork, not once was it listed that free 30 days of storage was requested. It was never brought up to our attention BEFORE we picked up your items. According to the notes on your account, Sky Van Line had reached out to you in reference to your delivery date. Then, when we'd noticed that there wasn't any request for free 30 days of storage by both Charter, and Sky Van Line, that was when we called you once again and explained to you that you needed to pay the storage fee of 30 days. Therefore, if there is not anything listed on your paperwork, your only option would be to pay for the month your items have been stored in our facility.
