I cannot begin to express how amazing our stay was at this exquisite bed and breakfast! Every room in this special Inn speaks of years gone by and we were transported to another era. Each antique piece of furniture was chosen with the utmost care to create such a beautiful space. We came for a girls getaway trip to visit wineries and do some antique shopping. Of all the fantastic things we did this weekend our B&B and its host were by far the best part of our trip. Murray is a special person. He is soft spoken and kind. He makes you feel welcome in a way that feels like you are home and not just staying at a hotel for the night. All of us girls enjoyed our talks with Murray over breakfast. The breakfast made with eggs from the chickens right there on the farm was delectable! We spotted one of the peacocks that roam the property right outside our window. As we were leaving Murray took an array of photos for us. It was a truly memorable stay and one that we cannot wait to repeat in the near future. Thank you Murray for making our stay so special!

Had a wonderful 2-night getaway at Springdale Village Inn! The Cashmere room was spacious and beautiful. The house has an amazing history, and the owners have made it very comfortable, with lots of sitting areas, lamps, artwork, homemade cookies, and complimentary wine. Murray was very responsive and took care of all my needs. And he prepared a delicious breakfast every morning! The farm is lovely, with lots of free-range birds, some cows, and two adorable calves. Highly recommend this Inn for a quiet weekend getaway.

Gorgeous, historical home, within a beautiful, tranquil setting of a working farm. Strolling the grounds is so very peaceful, seeing the chickens, ducks, cows & peacocks. The babbling brook with walking bridges brings such a sensation of peace. ...and the plants & flowers are amazing since they also own a nursery! Murray was such a gracious host, he served fabulous breakfasts and was a delight to be around. Frank was in attendance during our stay, also charming & gracious. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Murray, David, & Frank for creating this wonderful get away & for being such gracious & charming hosts.

I honestly don't know why this place doesn't have more reviews. It is not only a gorgeous property, it is an amazing house with a ton of history. Some of the history includes the first boarding school for girls on the east coast, a hospital during the civil war, part of the Underground Railroad and presidents that played games in the den. We stayed in the upstairs room and had the whole floor to ourselves. The bathroom was in the hallway so its not actually in the room, but it was still private. It is a working farm, so one thing I will warn you about is that the animals can be noisy. If you are a light sleeper I would advise getting some ear plugs. They offer you a complimentary bottle of wine and the breakfast looked absolutely amazing. Unfortunately, we had to cut our trip short because our kids got sick. Murray was SO sweet and gave us coffee cake to go and even let us have two dozen eggs since we missed breakfast. All of the flowers were starting to come up and I'm sure it is an amazing sight in the spring. We are already planning when we can go back!
