Lovely people and plants. Looking forward to coming back again for more native plant options in my garden.

First visit. Longish lines, short hours, but they seem dedicated to native and adapted low water species. I'll definitely go back and would recommend to others.

Our City Forest is a great source of native and drought-tolerant plants, complete with recommendations about how big they get, how much sun and water they need, and which plants are good for attracting pollinators. The wait-list is long, but they also have a "lawn-buster" program. If you're interested in replacing your lawn with drought tolerant plants, you can either get advice and do the job yourself, or get on the list for their service. This is one of those wonderful places where your purchase also supports the organization. The whole operation runs on recycled soil and mulch, recycled water, recycled plant pots (they brush out and sterilize them; bring back your empties), with donated plants (often overstock from nurseries), volunteers and Americorps staff. The organization has a goal of one million trees for one million people. If you look, you may see trees they've planted all around Santa Clara County.

They had exactly what I was after. They have a great supply of native, drought resistant plants (both trees and shrubs). Their prices beat Lowe's, Home Depot and the nurseries. If you're after a street tree, they will even do the permitting for you. Free.

I am volunteer at OCF (also known as a Tree Amigo). OCF is usually open Friday and Saturday from 9 to noon. Hours are limited because of staffing issues. Trees and plants are significantly less than nursery prices because they are a non profit, especially if you need a street tree. Further they can help you with your permit if you live in San Jose. They will also plant your street tree for you free if you are a senior although the waiting list is quite long. All our plants are drought tolerant. We have more native shrubs than most nurseries. There is a Lawn Buster program also available.
We are currently cultivating Milkweed and should be ready by end of fall.
Hello Joe, As Pamela mentioned you can likely find a Pomegranate fruit tree at a number of local nurseries or hardware stores. We currently don't have any available at our community nursery but are looking into getting some next year. Thank you for your question!
We do not have any hydrangeas at OCF. You might try Almaden Nursery or Yamagami's in Saratoga/Cupertino.
They have a xmas tree rental program where you pay for a tree, and water it then return it to be sold and planted somewhere. It's a pretty great program! They do have a few evergreens you could plant as well
Hi Hue, We do not have any Pin oak trees but we do have these kinds of oaks available at the moment: Italian oak (Quercus frainetto 'Schmidt') Valley oak (Quercus lobata) Bur oak (Quercus macrocarpa) Chinkapin oak (Quercus muehlenbergii) Nuttall oak (Quercus nuttallii) Skinny Gene oak (Quercus robur 'JFS-KW2QX') Crimson Spire oak (Quercus robur x alba 'Crimschmidt') Streetspire oak (Quercus robur x alba 'JFS-KW1QX') Northern Red oak (Quercus rubra) Shumard oak (Quercus shumardii) South Live oak (Quercus Virginians) We have quite a variety of oaks and if you are looking to find an oak similar to the Pin oak, feel free to come over to our nursery to check them out.
Not at the moment. Some in production. Check back in October/November. Why such a small tree? Do you have wires?
Hi Ramesh, unfortunately we do not sell Curry leaf plants. Sorry for the inconvenience!
