Not always. It depends on the condition of the existing concrete. The underlying base for an overlay must be sound. If your concrete is heaving, has severe cracks, or is structurally unsound, you may need to consider other options besides coatings.

Yes! We waterproof decks and patios all the time. We start by prepping the area with a full powerwash. Once the surface is completely clean, we use a diamond grinder to get rid of any imperfections. This also allows the surface to be ready to accept the waterproof coating. We use a 7-inch hand grinder to complete this process. We can do the same thing on a deck made out of wood. If you have concrete on a second story over a dwelling, it's probably a good idea to call us for concrete waterproofing. Our Concrete waterproofing process is several different layers of membrane and coating to get a great result.

If we are talking about a residential floor, a standard project usually takes approximately 3 – 7 days to complete depending on the size of the floor and the integrity of the concrete. Every concrete slab is different. We have to test the PSI of the concrete and if there is any potential for water and moisture issues. Our first step is grinding the concrete which usually takes a day and then performing crack repair. Finally, we start applying coatings which can take several days depending on the number of coatings needed for the flooring system that is being applied.
