I really lucked out in getting there right before the bookstore closed and I was so glad I went in! I wished I had more time to browse around. Of the bookstore I checked out in my couple of weeks visiting SF this was my favorite. Really great selection and organization and an impressive array of cards (as a notecard collector of sorts I always appreciate unique finds and to some extent judge bookstore by this)

Leave it to an SF bookstore to book a cancelation and trigger warning on one of the most brilliant philosophers of all time and to present such as an “absolute”. Philosophy is the essence of free thought, not cancellation of right vs wrong. One must understand history to avoid repeating it in the future. This line of reasoning could be applied forward to discount just about any philosopher of any time period that we choose to disagree with. Do better.

Fantastic little bookshop. Well laid out with lots of local books and interests. Lovely vibe. Particularly liked that there was a queer section for young adults. Excellent range of non-book gifts too!

Quaint book shop that makes you feel cozy and comfortable. I love how there are cards filled out with care and thoughtful descriptions of many titles in the store. You can tell the employees enjoy reading and it's something special to share with others. Stop in if you need a read. This place has everything.
