I had not donated in a few years because of female issues and my low iron level. I had finally started a great supplement routine, been taken regular vitamins and everything was regulated. To my surprise my iron was at an all time high of 14.5! You only need to be 12.5 to donate blood. My phlebotomist was a young dude, very friendly, efficient and kind. Since it had been a couple of years, at the last minute I got a little worried but everything turned out perfect. When I was done, he invited to me to have a couple of cold drinks, cookies or chips and I was done. All within about an hour or so and I saved up to 3 lives!! It's good to be a real lifesaver!

It is donation only. I think Plasma Biological Services in Columbia is your closest option to get paid for plasma.
Non for profits do not pay for blood products.
