Was sent there because of claim no local hospital near me had no dyalsys service.. Felt this was done because Norwich hospital is in same network as St Elizabeth, so they would get to collect on my substantial medical insurance. Time in ICU was good, but after transfer to regular ward things felt like abandonment. Would wait some 30+ minutes after hitting the call button. Promised me an antibiotic after discharge and no over a week, still waiting...

Was in ER this morning with a kidney stone. Even though it was a holiday, everyone was kind, professional and thorough. Dr. Matt, Cassie the triage nurse down to the radiology tech. Couldn't have been a more positive experience

I have been sitting in the ER for almost 2 hours with my 88 ywar old mom that has afib. Was told that she was not acute. She is getting weaker. Back in the day the hospital was never like this and now you are building a new hospital so patients can wait like this in a newer hospital. Where is the care and compassion. Your two clerks that are on are worthless. Very snotty. This is today 5-25-2022. What does it take to be seen. Someone to die in your waiting room?

Suffered a heart attack, was admitted to Rome hospital who called CNY Cardiology and they sent a Dr to Rome. Ordered a angioplasty now 15 hours later St E's still cannot find a bed or give a time for me to be there. 5 stars for CNY CARDIOLOGY. 1 star, so far, for Hospital. Hope this can be updated for the better.

Id like to know the answer to this as well . that place is run like a priso with noi care for medical conditions of the patients. the guards and nurses all have cell phones on the whole time too. no clue if they are recording people or not. I left there pretty beat up and cut up from the treatment I recieved from security guards in a emdical facility. place needs to be shut down.
Generally, the visitation hours Begin from 1pm to about 8 pm .. but there is a "Quiet time " for the patient's to get some rest at about 2 / 3pm in the afternoon.. Yet there are some other things that could change this .. If You are related to the patient.. for example your spouse, your parent or your child ( ren) , or a sibling .. You more than likely would be able to come to visit them anytime after 9 am.. But , the most important factor is what section of the hospital that your loved one is in.. i.e. ICU is obviously up to the patient 's health status , if the patient is doing well enough for a visitor . I recommend that You ask the patient 's nurse .. As they are able to let You know if your loved oned is up to having a visitor.. I hope that this information helps . God bless
No, this Hospital is usually for emergency only. You can do that at any urgent care like Primary Urgent care down the Street, or Well Now urgent care, or your primary Doctor.
Back in the mid to late 1990s I believe. When the cardiac center came in.
Yes. When you arrive through the Emergency room way, near 15 minute parking, on your left there is a security office. If they don't have the item in question there is a possibility that the patient's nurse's station may have it.
Talk to the switchboard at 801-8100. Ask if a patient has been released yet and they will answer.
You can either can go for behavioral health director or social worker for psych.
Now that the flu ban has been lifted, there is only one age-related restriction for visitors; psych ward visitors must be 16 years of age or older.
Closest trauma center in the area, but doesn't have certification as a burn center. Burns can be treated here, though. The closest verified one is University of Rochester Medical Center (source: ameriburn.org)
There are a few hotels close by. The Radisson is one of the closest option. There is also a Day's Inn (Wyndham), Holiday Inn and Doubletree (Hilton) nearby as well.
No hospitals in this region have NICUs. St. E's hasn't had a labor and delivery since the 80s. It's a trauma center first and foremost. Across the street is a women's & children's clinic. St Luke's has l&d and maternity areas, but no NICUs.
Originally, it was the Progressive Care Unit. In March 29, 2019 the PCU merged with the Special Care Unit. In August 2020, it was renamed the Intermediate Care Unit.
