Sold me a hive that had zero chance of survival. Zero drawn out frames. And assured me that they would get strong enough before winter. Never mentioned that it’s not even possible with just the box they sold me, even though I did ask the question. Also said they would answer any questions I had and never once returned a call after ripping me off. Knowing what I know now… I was absolutely ripped off.

I do not know anything about beekeeping, but I enjoyed my visit to the Bedillion store. They sell numerous flavors of honey as well as other products such as beekeeping supplies, beeswax, and soaps. Months ago, I bought their honeycomb, and it tasted delicious. Today I bought several jars of honey in different flavors, and I feel excited to try them all. Some flavors were available only in large jars, so I will be eating lots of honey in the future!

Mark & Sara are great folks! Their shop has gotten so cute, something for everyone! Beekeepers will find plenty of great equipment and supplies at fair prices, everyone else will enjoy nice honey products and merch. Excellent bee husbandry happens here as well, raising good stock to keep the region in healthy bees!

Questions & Answers

Hello I called a while ago about reusing the large jars. I have an idea perhaps without you having to buy something to sterilize. Why not just fill I a big vat with a self serve on filling prior jars?

Hi Sandra, Thank you! :-) That is definitely an idea we have considered and may do. We just have to figure out the fine details! We'll keep working on it! -Sara

I have allergies and hot wildflower honey for the summer. Worked fantastic. What kind fo I buy for fall allergies?

Joyce Hay | Jan 16, 2020

Hi Joyce, Glad it was helpful! The Wildflower is still a good choice because ours changes with the season, but you could also try Goldenrod Honey or Knotweed Honey. For me, as long as I have my honey every day, even if it's from a different season, I still feel it helps. It's when I miss a couple days (like when I've traveled and forgot to bring my honey!) that I feel like I lose some of the benefit. Once I get back on schedule, I feel better :-) Thank you!

When people say to buy "LOCAL" honey for your allergies, how close is "local"? Would you be close enough if we were 50 miles away? And do you make Bee Butter cream?

Faith Duchene | Jan 16, 2020

Hi Faith, We've heard 50 miles was close enough. If the same flowers bloom in the area, I think it would have the same benefits. We make "creamed honey" out of the honey: honey which has been purposely crystallized to make it spreadable. It has an icing-like consistency. Great to spread, but it also melts in your tea or coffee. We don't add any butter or dairy to it, but we have one with cinnamon, one with dehydrated blueberry powder, and one with dehydrated apricot powder. Thanks for your questions!

Is it too late to order a nuke? I have an 8 frame garden hive I need to fill???
