Amazing dining experience. I love the spectacular view from the top of Hollywood Hills at Yamashiro. It is absolutely breathtaking architecture that resembles the historic royal palace. The staff are hospitable, efficient, and kind. The dishes are not the greatest, but they are authentic Japanese. It may a little bit challenging to get there (narrow & very steep road, many turns), but I can confirm that it is worth the trip! Drinks are delightful. It gets better once the sun sets, and the city lights are on. Romantic Japanese garden, spacious venue, dimmed lights, oriental decorations, and efficient valet parking service. It is perfect for a romantic date night out, celebrations, photoshoots and exploring one of famous attractions in LA.

Unforgettable experience and delicious food. We got seated earlier than our reservation time which was pleasantly unexpected. The calamari was fresh and crispy, the dragon roll was classic, but the spicy prawn noodles stole the show. The cocktails were great, although I can’t remember for the life of me what they were called. Our waitress was amazing! She was attentive, extremely helpful with good suggestions, and even gave us a small cheesecake and parfait as a birthday treat. She was 5-stars all around. The views are incredible. The restaurant overlooks a hill, and it’s themed to a traditional Japanese style. Parking for us was valet, so I can’t speak for self-parking. Great restaurant, and I would return again.

Excellent restaurant, in a great location, with no less amazing views! All of Hollywood and Beverly Hills is in front of you. Must arrive by car. The place is clean, the service is meticulous and professional in a young atmosphere. The dishes I tasted were balanced, rich in flavors and in keeping with the modern Japanese style so prevalent today. In conclusion, this is a wonderful place to have a Japan style diner and highly recommended. 5 stars without a doubt!

Excellent food. Definitely a must to try and experience. Beautiful location and scenery. Waitress Ocean was amazing at doing her job and highly recommended. Well deserved tip. This is no cheap place by any means but definitely worth it. Food flavors exploded inside the mouth as different taste palettes activated simultaneously. Will come back no doubt next time we arrive to LA. Simply beautiful and elegant.

Yes
The valet will drive up the car for you all the way to the main entrance of the restaurant upon request for handicap placards and peaple that use walkers, that saves the slight hill for peaple that have a hard time.Upon leaving to retrieve your vehicle let one of the host know to let valet know that you need special assistance
Even though walkings are welcome reservation is always better.
LA is asking all the restaurants, hair salons, everything to require vaccine or negative tests. Too much drama. It's not the happiest place right now.. I would wait till spring time.
A Google search of both shows that they do have wheelchair access and seating and that there is a dress code. The dress code is business casual, meaning shorts, t-shirts, beach and athletic wear will not be permitted, and collared shirts are required for gentlemen.
Not really a huge garden so if you arrive 3o mins before you can walk around.
A lot of their dining is outdoors with covering and outdoor heaters.
No but you can order there Brussel sprouts and other non dairy vegetable items. This is not a Vegan spot but u have a few choices.
Yes.
No, gift cards are continously valid until redeemed.
The seared ahi tuna was incredible. As were (according to my dining partner) the baby back ribs. My overall suggestion would be assume it is Japanese food through the lens of a white Hollywood producer. Food is excellent but not always exactly Japanese.
Well, appetizers are about $20 each and entrees start at around $35- $40. And on the high-end they serve a steak for $240. Vallet is $10. For a couple to go to Yamashiro and really eat, it's going to cost around a hundred dollars, minimum.
No, but it wouldnt hurt to make a reservation since the place kind of gets packed around 7:30
There are a lot of vegetarian options apart from the ones you mentioned. Also consider desert as vegetarian.!😊
It ranges from classy to casual, jist depends on the time and day you take the family. Don't think there is a kids menu but there is a nice selection of appetizers that looks filling enough for kids.
Yes; there is a Sunday Brunch/Buffet, 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM...
Business casual is the typical attire. Look like you are going out to a nice meal and not a 🍕 joint.
No. Yamashiro unless they have changed their hours are only open at 5 p.m. Although they do a brunch on Sundays.
They do not offer discounts for large groups. But it doesn't hurt to ask. We were not charged the corkage fee for 3 bottles ($15 a bottle) one time, but it depends on the waiter. If you bring your own cake, they will not charge you to cut it.
