I'm 37, and a local truck driver. I have never been in this place, but yesterday (11am) it was packed like a night club. I'm nosey, but I was really wondering what the fuss was, so I poked my head in. I walked in, and to my right was a seasoned lady w/ an apple fritter hanging from her bottom lip. Then to her right was a lady w/ a danish, but her Donut King tumbler was what caught my eye. Up front there were just Sooooooooo many options of donuts and turnovers and cupcakes, OH MY!!! The employees were so freaking kind, and I ended up ordering a fritter, a danish, and some strawberry concoction in a cup (I'm eating it as I write this). I don't know what it is, but I sure am happy in my chair with its residue on my mustache. Look, I don't do reviews, like ever. I just don't, but the Vibe of this shop is needed in post Covid life. 2022 will end with many more visits from me. Thank you Ladies!! 💖💖💖🥂

Great customer service! I really enjoyed the selection of delicious tasting donuts! I believe these are cake donuts and some might be different. Yum!!! I had a peanut butter and a strawberry 🍓 that was very rich in flavor. The first time I went in, there was a mature, silver hair beautiful lady who took her time to share the variety of pastries. So many to choose from....I appreciate her patience and professionalism. There was a guy that served me the second time with a smile and provide quality service. It was a delight to find this gem of a place. There's a variety of beverages such as coffee and a few other drinks.

My favorite donut place ever. Been going here since I was a child, when the business used to be on Chouteau. Even now, it's some of the best tasting donuts in Kansas City. Staff is wonderful. Lobby is clean. Bavarian and jelly donuts are amazing. The cinnamon rolls are divine. Seriously. This donut shop is so good.

Wow, pretty great donut place, tons of selection and interesting offerings - including the famous cronut in different flavors like strawberry cheesecake, peanut and butter and jelly, and birthday cake. Overall, I don't feel like it's just heavy on gimmicks that don't really work, like a lot of newer donut places seem to be. Even has a drive-thru option which is nice because when I went on Saturday around 11:30am, this strip mall was packed. Speaking of which, most donut shops would have their selection decimated by this time of day, but Donut King was still fully loaded with an impressive inventory.
