Shadow Hills Riding Club is a wonderful organization that is built around our capacity to grow, heal and learn from our equine partners. Johnny Higginson, the Program Director is not only an incredibly talented horseman, but a deeply caring counselor, instructor, and human being. He has developed an amazing program that brings together all ages, abilities, and needs. There is no hierarchy, discrimination or judgement, only mutual respect, opportunity, and inclusion. SHRC truly meets each person where they are and fills their hearts, minds, and soul.

The facility is maintained but Jonny's personality is gross, plain and simple. He is arrogant and flippant (major chip on his shoulder) with no skill to back it up. I don't ride competitively anymore so I was looking for a relaxed environment. I've ridden my whole life with top trainers and now I know why none of them like him. Do yourself a favor and look up Archie Cox or Jeni Brown. They are professional and kind.

The Best of the Best! They are amazing in all that they do. They not only have boarding and private lessons. But, they also have a nonprofit that helps Military, Children with disabilities, People with recovery from addiction. Help make a difference become a volunteer for Shadow Hills Riding Club! It's the most amazing place in LA to spend time at. I just wish I could get out there more often!
