We would NOT recommend using this law firm for any legal work. We hired attorney Mr. Hoxie to help with a family land easement issue. We had to constantly follow up with him to get things moving. He cancelled phone calls three or four times at the last minute and there was little to no communications. We gave him a retainer payment on August 30 and he did no billable work until the end of the year. It took months before any work was started. When the demand letter was finally drafted for our review, it was filled with mistakes - even lot numbers were incorrect. We wasted our time and money (over $1,600) for nothing. Two months ago we hired a new attorney and are very pleased with his work. There was absolutely nothing positive from this experience. Stay away from this law firm!!

I needed help with settling a small estate. The receptionist was courteous and polite despite my homeless appearance and the lawyer helping me talked me through the process very well. The place was hot though. It was 80 something degrees outside and they hadn't turned on the air-condition.

We met with mr. Hoxie about filing a contempt charge. He told us our case was an easy case and gave us a dollar amount that he would need down. He told us he could have it done in 30 days and wouldnt even use the full amount of money because he was cost conscious . After putting down the retainer there was no communication, we had to contact them each time to find out what was going on and then heard nothing for a month. It took two months for them to prepare to file and then called and asked for another $2500 because the case went past 45 days. We never once received a bill to account for what money had been spent. When I asked I was told by the receptionist that $683 that had been used. I told them I wanted an itemized accounting of what had been used and we chose to withdraw instead of paying more money for nothing. I told them I wanted to pick up the rest of the money that was left and was told by Emma that I couldn’t pick up my money. We had to wait until the end of the month for them to close out our case. I asked her to verify how much money had been used and she reused to give me that information. I would not recommend this law firm to anyone!

I hired Clearwater Law Group in the first part of October 2021 to handle a dispute regarding a real estate purchase with high hopes of good service and competence. Over the course of the next 3 or 4 months I was very disappointed. I've dealt with 10 different firms over the course of time and I must say this has been by far the worst experience I've had working with a law firm. I really can't understand how a firm like this can actually persist considering the lack of professionalism that they exhibited in execution of legal strategies and just day to day business. I rarely was allowed to talk to my lawyer, as the staff is well versed at making empty promises of someone getting back to me or even being able to definitively give me any indication of what the status of my case was. When I would call the firm I would get this deer in the headlights act, but when they wanted money they were right on top of everything, especially with the subtle (not so much) threats about what would happen if they didn't get money. There was no concern or accountability for failures in execution of representation by this firm at all. I am not going to go into all the details, but at the end of the day I would suggest anyone considering hiring this firm should formulate their own agreement with this firm to consider performance and how poor performance will affect the billing. This firm is all about getting their money, not about service or competence. The fact that I didn't hear from my attorney for the last 6 weeks of my case and the firm owner would also not communicate with me after the attorney I was working with left the firm (interesting) says all there is to say about this firm. I would not recommend working with this firm to anyone that has expectations of good service or competence in representation. I rarely write reviews, as I question people's motives in writing reviews. In this case I felt I needed to at least put it out there that anyone considering hiring this firm should do their due diligence and don't be afraid to ask questions and put your expectations in writing for this firm to agree to or you will likely be disappointed.
