They cancelled an appointment and called me stating they had emergency services to provide. This is understandable. However, the appointment was rescheduled to a later date and they didn't show or even call. A complete waste of my time on 2 different days. Lack of staff is no excuse. Just call people and let them know what is going on instead of not saying anything.

My AC was frosted over on the unit outside all the way to the hvac in the attic and began leaking into my daughter's room. This happened a few years ago and we used a different company that my homewarranty recommended. All that company ended up doing was re-adjusting my drip pan and adding freon. They were in and out in less than 45 minutes on top of showing up late. This time, I went against my home warranty's recommendation of the same company who couldn't even send someone to do the initial inspection until 3 days later and called Southbay heating and air conditiong after looking at reviews. They responded in a timely manner and sent someone out that day to assess the problem. He did a thorough examination of the unit both outdoor and indoor and gave his recommendations. He even recommended a company for the water damage to my daughter's ceiling.The next afternoon a tech was at our house fixing our AC and installing an upgraded sensor better than the one we currently had. We were so elated to have the job done in a timely manner and done RIGHT the first time that we will not be going back to the old company ever again. Overall the entire experience was amazing and I would definitely use them again in the future.

Dennis made the experience very seamless. He came to assist us with our AC unit just 2 days after calling. Also within the window they gave. He returned the next day to clean our vents-something we’ve been meaning to do for a while. So happy to have it all handled within 2 short visits.

We are recommending, you should check your filters on monthly basis. If we are talking about disposable air filters we need to change at least once a month. On the other hand high efficiency filters can be checked every 3 months.
Little maintenance related task can be done by home owner but we never encourage you to do repairs of the equipment due to electrical shocks hazards and risk of creating bigger damage to the equipment due to poor knowledge of the system .
There are number of factors that are depend on the life span of heating pump like type of pumps, how well you maintained your heating pump. Normally average life span of heating pumps is 15 years.
Just like your other automobile, or any other piece of equipment that heavy usage and has many moving parts, it is going to need maintenance. Yearly maintenance is required to adhere to manufacturers warranty guidelines, and it will help to insure your equipment is running smoothly or not, when you need it
