This is my second time going to this restaurant and I am totally satisfied with the food and service.I got the ackee and salt fish and I am not disappointed. There patties is hot and fresh, best I have ever had.

I went to Ackee Bamboo on a date and man, I loved it. The food is pretty affordable, you'll get A LOT (perhaps even enough for 2 people) for a mere $12-18. I ordered the vegetarian ackee plate, which was one of the more expensive menu options but every bite was worth it. Despite being a fruit, ackee had a savory taste and it was well spices. You also get a bunch of sides, including some tasty rice and peas, stewed vegetables (a little bland but nutritious), and festival bread (I'm obsessed!). My girlfriend ordered the curry chicken, which was also amazing. We also shared a vegetarian patty, which was filled with spinach or callaloo and had a delicious curry flavor. A must try place in South LA!
