This place was suggested by a friend as a spot with the best menu in the area. The menu disappointed - almost no decent appetizers to share, a few types of pasta as small and main dishes. So for a person who doesn't like pasta (yes, such people exist!) there was nothing to eat. And on the top they were out of mussels.

We had found that the combination of good food, attentive service and over-the-top decor made the dining experience at The Tasting Kitchen a great dining experience. It may not be an everyday kind of place because it’s kind of pricey, but great for a special occasion!

My SO and I decided to do the Tasting Kitchen dinner which featured surprise courses chosen by the chef. Food was absolutely amazing, fresh, and filling. The outside sitting area was gorgeous with heaters at each table. Perfect and romantic.

Food is very delicious (some pastas were too oily though) and staff is great. Food portions are small and many are only a la carte, for a hefty price. Homemade sodas are delicious also, but you'll only get 5 ounces for $8. Unlike other restaurants nearby, usually no wait to be seated (maybe because of the high prices!).
