Only reason this store gets a 3 star is they have a large selection of fresh water fish and lots of other goodies to equip the tropical fish hobbyist! I've shopped there several times and each time I go i see more and more dead or sick fish, last time they had a eletric blue ram aquarium with really sad looking rams! Also service takes forever even with my name on a waiting list, i must've waited 20 mins or longer and decided to walk out! The staff there look stressed and sure could use a lil perkin up ! Not all is bad there, maybe my timing was bad but expect some long delays on service and be on the look out for sick fish.

This is my second time coming to this store, and I have had a negative experience this time. My son and I came looking for a plant they had, we arrived at 5:49PM knowing that they close at 6 PM because that was the time I was able to take him. When we arrived the gate to the store entrance was closed, and a male employee came outside and yelled "IT'S SIX O'CLOCK!". We tried explaining to him that we needed an item and it would be quick, but he refused to let us into the store. My son was very disappointed because of this and I was upset that the employee couldn't just let us in. I will no longer be shopping from this business, it does not deserve my money.

I do appreciate the selection of marine fish. Had all the varieties I wanted. Bought a tang and Royal Gramma. Tang died within 6 hours and the Gramma died 16 hours later. Went back up to the store and although Julian (owner) doesn’t guarantee saltwater fish, he spent some time with me discussing the mystery deaths. I’m a pretty experienced reefer, never an expert. But it was unusual they died how they did in QT. No meds were administered- just observation planned until something occurs. Parameters we’re all on point- checked by myself and staff. Julian offered me a mollie to test to see if it were my QT tank leaching toxins. Mollie seems to be doing great. May have had a case of bad luck. The unfortunate part was I spent a little under $200 that I can’t get back. (Sucks after moving across the country, that was an expense alone!) But you can’t knock someone for their time they spend discussing possibly. I hope to return to do business with them again- right now I am left a tad bit sore over the loss of both fish and funds. Still 5 stars for their efforts and selection of fish. The staff were pretty chill. Not over the top and I like the feel of independence when going there. Only need help when I ask for it versus having someone always try to tend to me. Overall, I was impressed with the selection of both freshwater and saltwater fish. Just wished their policy was a bit more lenient.

I absolutely love the level of straightforward care and educational assistance I have received from the employees here. They've been focused in guiding me as a new hobbyist, and have been patient with my learning process. I recently set up my first freshwater aquarium and love all the the plants they had available. An obviously passionate, knowledgeable and hard working team. They've helped me go through the correct steps to cultivate a healthy habitat instead of rushing forward with my naive, and possibly lethal, excitement. Thank you Kevin.
