The best veterinarian we have EVER had. We took both of our cats here, unfortunately one of them had been misdiagnosed by our prior vet and we lost her, but Brea did absolutely EVERYTHING they could and we got a card signed by all of the vets and nurses after she passed. We continued to bring our other cat here, and he has received stellar care, and a food prescription that helped him finally start to get his weight under control. The vets and nurses here are very responsive, follow up with you about your pet after visits and they so clearly care so much about all of the animals and their owners. We just moved across the country and I'm heartbroken that we have to look for a new vet because I don't think we will ever find another quite as good! Thank you for everything Brea Veterinary Hospital, you are the best. Anyone wondering where to bring their pets in the OC area, Brea Veterinary is the correct choice!

I took my previous golden retriever one day when we could tell there wasn't something right. Unfortunately my dog had a tumor we were unaware of and passed a few days later. Although it was extremely hard for my family and I, we were so grateful that we found Dr. Forbes for his final few days. We had been to multiple veternarians and hospitals and he never liked it. We could tell by her calm presence, he was calm and when we brought him back a few days later to end his suffering, she spoke to us on the process and was so calm even though we were a mess and it was so comforting, I'll never forget that experience. After that, my family adopted a new puppy and has been taking her to Dr. Massenzio. They absolutely adore her and we know they take great care of her. I recently got married and adopted a new dog from the pound and brought him to Dr. Forbes. He was a bit fearful as he was also new to my home but I could tell he felt their energy and just went with it. And when we got him back to the car he didn't seem like he was ready to run out of there. Just calm. Both doctors are amazing, highly recommend to anyone I know to bring their pet here.

I am truly thankful for Brea Vet. These people really care about your pets like they are theirs and they will take you in short notice in case of emergencies. The doctors are kind and knowledgeable. My personal favorite is Dr. Forbes. She is patient and kind. All of the staff here are kind, patient, and professional and you can make appointments so you can avoid the wait that you would have at other pet clinics. Billie Jean and Charlotte love Dr. Forbes!

Questions & Answers

We have 5 feral kittens that hang out around our home, they aren't tame, but will certainly within 6 feet of us. If we trapped them, what would it cost to nuter them?

At the Brea Veterinary Hospital, it costs $153.75 per neuter (price includes the pre-anesthetic blood work), and $273.50 per spay. If you want to, you may have a microchip ID implanted during this procedure (this is usu. the best time to implant one as they are already anesthetized). Adding a microchip will cost an additional $64.75 per chip. However, Brea Vet. is interested in the welfare of their patients (like any respectable veterinary hospital would be). As such, you will need to bring them in for an initial visit, which costs $59 per kitty being examined if they are brought in separately. However, if you bring them all in for their initial exams at the same time, you will only pay $29 for the first kitty and $45 for each additional kitty. Also, their doctors strongly recommend the animals receive their vaccinations, as well as have their viral and fecal testing completed prior to having them spayed or neutered. The process will require 3 additional visits and cost $204 per kitty.
