Without the treatment center I would be homeless, divorced and without my kids, the staff helped me stay off drugs and manage my life in the most crucial ways, I've always struggled with addiction and I'm happy to say that I'm over 5 years clean since going and getting help, it's an amazing place

I was prescribed opioids by my physician over 15 years ago for a medical condition and had been taking them ever since. I had sought treatment numerous times at both in patient facilities and state ran outpatient facilities. Sadly, the inpatient facilities were always at capacity and the outpatient didn’t have doctors on site to assist on the days I visited. Thank god I was persistent and, eventually, found the add for Desert Comprehensive. I called on a Tuesday evening and was given an appointment for the next day. I’m sure it sounds cliche, but..... I credit Desert Comprehensive and it’s amazing staff for saving my life. In the past, when I attempted to stop opioids on my own, I wouldn’t make it more than a couple days before relapsing. Now I’ve been off the pills for almost 10 months. Even more amazing is the pain I had been struggling with for the last 15 years is almost completely non existent. If your serious about your recovery then you should definitely call Desert Comprehensive for an appointment. I promise you won’t regret it.

I love this place and i finally have EARNED my wonderful life thanks to this program and wonderful staff who work here! I was at 120mg only 2 years ago and now only at 44mg! You have to tell them how you feel and when you want to go up or down, so anyone saying they are trapped or being fed by corporate drug dealers is just not taking responsibility for themselves and not honestly trying to fight their own addiction to get better and grow psychologically and physically. Any bad reviews are people complaining because they think they are entitled to everything and not taking responsibility for themselves or realizing that anything that isnt offered is not a personal problem, so many have abused their privileges so now we have to suffer because they cant be adults and handle themselves, this makes it to where even people honestly trying are refused services unless they go out of their way to be upfront and honest to prove themselves like they should be anyway. It is not anyone's job to babysit, so stop acting like babies! Everyone gets a bad idea of the place and has issues and says they see losers going there, thats because people keep acting like idiots and doing drugs or selling drugs there so it forces the community to keep putting undercover cops and police surveillance on surrounding areas and rightly arresting people! I am a drug addict but i have NEVER been a bad person and through hard work i am a college student again, own my own home, have a good relationship with my family, new good friends, volunteer my time helping others, and so much more that i GET TO look forward to in life now thanks to this program! Do not just put off life, we are not entitled to anything or more time, so just go ahead and take the jump to get better! It is so worth it!

Questions & Answers

What are the dosing hours? And how much does it cost to guest dose every day?

Skylor Jimenez | Sep 4, 2018
David Jones | Sep 4, 2018

Dosing is 5 am to 230 pm week days, 6 am to 930 am weekends and holidays, about 12 dollars if you don't have insurance to cover, don't listen to that other guy, if your truly struggling with severe addiction, methadone maintenance will give you your life back and allow you to get off everything within a few years, if you really think methadone is as bad as regular opiates, your life obviously hasn't been 100% consumed by addiction, this is way better than spending every dollar you have on drugs and suffering constant withdrawal its better than trying to cold turkey go off on your own, suffering like crazy, then eventually relapsing, which you will, you will relapse without help, take maintenance and go on a very slow taper and you'll win the race just like the tortoise in the tortoise and the hair. Do not think that being on methadone is replacing one drug for another, being on maintainence is putting addiction into remission. And will give you your life back. The staff very friendly

I'm out of work and have Medicaid health insurance, is there a cost for daily treatment?

Jules Virzi | Sep 4, 2018
Alli Appel | Sep 4, 2019

Yes... unless your insurance covers that cost. I currently attend desert treatment center daily. With treatment covered by IEHP. But without coverage. For METHADONE treatment: It is $60 for intake (your 1st day) And $18 dollars (everyday for remaining days of “21 day detox” Or you can switch to matinence. They have additional treatment options As well. Such As, SUBUTEX for $21 dollars a day.
