Moderately strenuous hike with a great water fall payoff at the end. About 4 miles round trip. Parking lot with restroom after a 10 minute drive up a gravel road. Trail is well maintained and when we went was not too busy. Dog friendly as well.

Very beautiful falls. The trail is close to 3miles round trip and would rate is as easy to moderate. There is patch of Forest road with gravel. All though we had Forest pass, we did not see any sign that it was need at this place. I took my sedan on the forest road and saw many sedan cars parked as well, but check the condition of that patch with more recent reviews

Just an amazing experience. It's about 4 miles round trip from the trail head to the falls. It is absolutely worth it. Bring plenty of water in case it gets hot. The trail itself is very scenic.

A great hike in the Gifford Pinchot forest area in Washington. If you're going to do a waterfall tour in the northwest, you need to include this 4 mile round trip hike to your list. Pics don't do it justice. It's massive and there are plenty of spots to get a good view of the falls. Elevation gain is about 640 feet and the trail in and out has become a bit busier over the years. Al in all, a great day hike with beautiful views of the area.

Rough ride the last mile or so. Just straddle the potholes and approach slowly. Not a problem!
Panther creek camp ground is about 10-15 miles south.
On a leash I believe! Have seen them up there before
We went a couple of weeks ago, gate was open. It's closed seasonally.
During the warmer months (when you can actually park at the Trailhead) I believe it's only 2 to 3 miles round-trip with an loop around trail to make around 4/5 miles? But when the gate is closed in the off season, it's around a 7 to 8 Mile trek just to the falls and back. Phenomenal hike and worth it! I've snowshoed it, I've hiked it in the rain and I've hiked it in perfect weather; love it every time!
It closes in December.
yes plenty of parking but 3 miles of gravel road
Yes, on a leash.
