Like the other reviews say, horrible customer service. My husband and I purchased a very expensive frame and mattress online. Because of covid concerns, we didn’t see it in the shop. Once we picked up the mattress and set it up, we realized that the futon was not comfortable and it didn’t look good in our room. The shop will not allow returns. They won’t even allow store credit because we took the futon out of the box. During a pandemic, when It isn’t safe to be in public spaces, it is shameful they will not allow returns when we can’t see the products beforehand. It might be because they’d never actually keep a sale

Poor customer service when charging a $70 restocking fee on a $350 mattress, good for a 20% penalty for ordering the wrong thickness during a pandemic when in-person interaction is severely limited. I picked up my own order too, so they’re simply skimming off the top. No assistance loading either, so I was left to fend for myself. None of this is required by the shop, but when placing a total order of $1,200 you expect better customer service and quality. See photo attached for damage on the product upon opening. The cherry on top was their rewards program, which not only expires but only gave me $2.30 on my order, a paltry 0.2% return. Why would you even offer the program... Lost any recurring business for me in the future, I recommend no one order online.

Today we returned to The Futon Shop to check out their Organic beds. We were here about 6 months ago and purchased an awesome futon couch. Totally organic with an amazing natural oak frame all made in the USA! Edith, the store manager, was so helpful then and again today as we picked out a new 100% organic futon mattress. She is very knowledgeable and accommodating to our needs. Fantastic experience! This is the place to go if you’re looking for organic, pesticide free, non toxic mattresses. Many choices and Edith is amazing! Thank you!

I walked into The Futon Shop after a long day, and I was feeling frustrated about not being able to find the right mattress. I kept dreaming about this super comfy futon at my parents' house that I use when I visit them and wished I could find something similar. I found something better because The Futon Shop's organic and natural products align well with my values, they're good quality and have wonderful customer service. Edith helped me out for about two and a half hours, still managing to juggle other customers who entered the store. She was super patient while I picked out the fabrics I wanted for my new furniture as well. 🤗
