Great place when on holidays. Full kitchen in many of the units. In between San Diego and LA so makes it easy to go either way. Tons of parking. Large Pools with a Quiet/hot tub area just to relax. Fun for everyone as there are pool and ping pong tables, various games and activities. Access to the Private entrance to Legoland

The room itself was quite nice, spacious, and well appointed. We were only staying for one night, so didn't really get to take advantage of the rest of the resort, but that aspect of the hotel also seemed quite nice. Losing two stars because it was IMPOSSIBLE to get a hold of the front desk when calling before our stay. The automated phone system is entirely broken, with several choices leading you directly back to the main menu. We were trying to request an early check-in, as we had to be in San Diego at a very specific time. After calling SIX times, we finally found a loophole by navigating the phone system to inquiries about timeshares, and then asking to be transferred to the front desk. After briefly speaking to them, we were inadvertently transferred to some other desk, who had no idea how to help us. We arrived half an hour past the normal check in (since we had given up on the idea of an early check in) and were told our room was still not ready. After explaining to the front desk that we absolutely needed to drop our stuff off right now and continue on to San Diego, they were wonderful and accommodated us. Please, please fix your phones. Would have been a 5 star experience without that headache, and as it stands I cannot recommend this place purely on horrible lack of communication.

Nice, clean room, friendly front desk, but they could really be more responsive to room service needs. My friends and I requested an extra comforter since 11pm, and I was still waiting for it at 2am. I called the front desk 4+ times, and each time I was told that it would be delivered soon. The resort is comfortably spacious, but I really don’t believe that it takes 3hrs to pick up and deliver a comforter…

Very disappointing. We were invited to attend a time share presentation at the Hilton Marbrisa, Carlsbad. The room we were given was very subpar for a resort, Our check in was one hour and 15 minutes late. We checked in 5:15PM, so it was already dark. We stayed in a studio. The room was very small and average. Our studio door has a joining door to another room. We could hear most of the noise from the joining room. The walls are very thin. The decor was very bland and plain. It was like looking at closet walls. The bathroom was less to be desired, large box, white walls and bright LED light, wall warrior and fan that does not turn off. No soft light/dim light option for night. Our room had no heat during the cooler nights. Our room had a chill and it was difficult to get warm. The room was clean, but there was no room service during our stay. We stayed for 3 nights. Our room view was a large parking lot with no trees and/or landscaping, just cars. We had a false fire alarm that went off during the night at 9PM which required evacuation in our building. It was very cold so I had to sit in my car. It was truly a disappointment and I did not feel the resort was relaxing. It felt more like an extended stay not a resort. It would have been nice to have a one bedroom so I can wake and had coffee without waking my partner and enjoying the sunrise/sunsets on the balcony would have been enjoyable and relaxing to start/end of day.
