What a way to connect with nature! Multiple trails in an elevated wooded path that goes threw marshland, water and forest. Some paths are 1/2 mile or less while others are longer. While there we saw turtles, frogs, multiple species of birds and insects. Great fun for kids with an indoor facility with several small animals and a quite powerful AC. Recommend the family does the path first and then tour the facility to cool off. No bikes or running allowed, not a lot of shadow in paths so bring lots of water and sun protection. Child friendly paths are wheel chair accessible (but will be bumpy) Restrooms available

If you love nature, love wildlife and getting out for a walk this is a great place to be. Highly recommend you take the tour to really appreciate the suttleness of being with all the activity. There is lots to see and hear in the stillness of the moment. Open daily from dawn to dusk.

Even for a weekend walk, does not feel badly packed. Enough to enjoy a great walk to see all the birds easily. It's a hidden gem of Boynton Beach. Several people using this area for walking while several using this area for photography

Beautiful, calm, safe place to walk on elevated boardwalk. There's a nature museum as well which is worth a look. They show films, have a gift shop and a cute live Screech Owl! Free admission to park and lots of free parking as well.

No. It is to protect all animals. Fish are for the birds and other animals only
Everything is wheelchair accessible here. There may be some uneven spots on the boardwalk, but it is for the most part, maintained very well.
The boardwalk is open every day from sunrise to sunset, but the nature center building is not open on Sundays.
Hi, Jin. Only service animals are allowed at Green Cay Nature Center and Wetlands. Sincerely, Melanie, Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation.
Have not seen any, but have seen lots of birds and the occasional gator
Yes there are covered areas along the boardwalk and around the visitor center
Hi, Francesca. Please feel free to contact the Green Cay Nature Center at (561) 966-7000 to speak with a naturalist about the animals you can potentially encounter at the wetlands. Best, Melanie, Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation
Closed now...after dark. They were open
Yes, Temporarily closed for roof repairs. I mentioned it on my review as alert
There are benches, gazibo's and cheeks around the board walk
I didn't see any snakes but I sure did see alligators however they were juvenile they didn't seem to want to disturb the peace and the adult alligators just minded their business
Not much rain fall for the new year
Interesting, I've been there many times and never seen them. What do they look like?
The roseate spoonbill are around certain times of the year, especially mating season in the spring
I dont know. Theres a main building at the entrance. this particular day it was closed. The restrooms open.
The boardwalk is always open from dawn to dusk. The center is closed on Sundays to Tuesdays and National Holidays.
Maybe at the main building there is. But the idea is to go and enjoy the wonderful views and nature.
