I have been shopping here since I moved to Florida 18 years ago. Be prepared for a Zen-like experience. Calming music is wafting through the grounds and retail hut. You are greeted by magnificent parrots who are being rehabbed back to health in their outdoor setting. Two rescue cats happily roam the grounds. The variety of plants for sale or their landscaping services provide a customer with many options and the staff is knowledgeable and helpful. If you can't find something, they will order it. I visited this place during the pandemic just to promote calmness.

I can't say enough about how wonderful Delray Garden Center has been and in particular Alex and his crew. We overhauled our entire backyard. Alex was there from start to finish to ensure the sod, the plants, and the trees looked great, were excellent quality and that we were satisfied 100%. He knows his plants inside and out and what will work in your environment. We put in clusia, palms and sea grass. When you go to this garden center versus others, immediately you notice how well everything is cared for and that the quality is much higher than at any other garden center. In these new times it's hard to find people of quality and integrity to work with. Alex is absolutely one of those people. I would recommend him to anybody. He takes what is in your mind and makes it a reality... but better.

There location on west Atlantic is beautiful and worth a trip. Customer service not so much. Good luck trying to coordinate any large scale project or “landscape design” I live in East Delray and recently did a major renovation to my back yard which included an addition of a swimming pool, so it goes without saying that I needed help from a “professional”. I was attempting to have this company lead by Bob the owner to complete this project. I needed retaining walls my entire yard graded leveled amongst planting through out the yard. I figured why not hire a local company. I first filled out their form online, useless no answer. I called to set up an appointment for someone to come out to my property, was told I would get a call back. No call so I call back expressing my concern, finally this gets me a call back from Mr Bob the owner. He tells me he’s 10 mins away in the middle of a work day. I stop every thing I am doing rush home to meet Bob and a woman. Now Bob is here annoyed with one foot out the door. I explain to him the project I want to complete , he vaguely listens and mumbles something about having to go to Palm beach. Fine as a business owner I get it to an extent. So we decide to reconnect once I get back from vacation since this wasn’t going to be a cheap project. No price was given. I get home from vacation send an email, guess what no answer. Text him and express if he is too busy simply let me know and I will go elsewhere, no response. So finally a week later I call leave a message, get no answer again My wife and I are besides our self how a business owner can conduct himself in this matter. I am warning anyone that plans on doing any large products or yard maintenance to stay away. There are much better options to choose from. If he can’t be bothered to respond to over 20 k worth of business, I can only imagine what Mr Bob is like organizing a project. What a joke and disappointment!!!!

I highly recommend Delray Nursery & Alex is amazing!! Alex went above and beyond, even went out of his way to make sure that we were happy! We will NEVER go anywhere else. Thank you Alex for taking such good care of Bob and I.
