Words are not enough to express what I want to say about this wonderful, beautiful hospital. Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital made my son's and my experience there a very calm, caring, loving, compassionate and as stress free as possible. The week and a half we spent there was bearable. My son Jordan suffered a serious injury leaving him with a shattered femur. He was in extreme pain and very down about not being able to walk. Joe D. has to be one of the best children's hospital ever. From the nurses, doctors, physical therapist team, custodial staff, the hospitality team (the food was amazing!).. I heard my son talking to his friends about how amazing Joe was to him. I cannot write this without saying thank you, thank you to Ms. Marilyn my sons OT., Ms. Maria my son's P.T., Dr. Star, all the nurses who listened and encouraged Jordan when he wanted to give up... Those who gave me a hug and told me he would be okay when I was feeling defeated. We appreciate you all so very much... But I have to mention his biggest cheerleader ..Nurse Lauren, you were our Angel. I can't tell you how much you meant to us. We will never forget you all at Joe. We love love you and pray God's Blessing over this hospital.

I am so disappointed in Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital and Doctor Allen’s team. I took a whole week off work for my sons appointments and his surgery, drove 4 hours away because this is the “best” hospital for kids whom have 22q and I get told HOURS before surgery how we are missing a clearance paper and surgery will not be done on my son …………….. again HOURS before surgery yet I received so many alerts, calls and reminders about his Covid testing literally that’s all they kept calling for but no one was able to do the same and make sure everything was good to go days prior not hours it’s just a shame and very inconsiderate of a parents time this is not my sons first rodeo he’s had so many other surgeries including heart surgery and never have they asked for primary clearance and if I was missing something so important to cancel surgery I was always aware weeks before surgery again not hours. I spoke to my sons primary and even after speaking with Dr.Allen’s team asking for all the paper work in regards to the surgery and clearance they wanted they have not yet sent the primary absolutely nothing.

I went into this experience the most scared I have ever been in my life sending my 2 year old boy into surgery for the first time and felt immediate comfort just walking through the door! Non stop laughter and smiles came from my boy the whole experience! Our registrar in pre op made my boy feel like a marvel superhero! The pre op nurse was outstanding! And Lotsy the Clown stole the show, playing bubbles with him and even gave him a little clown doll that looked just like her that he still sleeps with everynight! He even asks to go back to see Lotsy! The surgery went great and the post op nurse was an absolute angel! Thank you Joe Dimmagio Hospital and Staff for being truly magical for children and parents during the most vulnerable times! We will never go to any other hospital!!!

1st off I need to thank the entire hospital staff, from the Covid testing RNs to the Security and Valet Workers and Registration ladies. Without them this hospital wouldn’t be what makes it so special! (This is not down playing RNs and Drs) We were here yesterday for oral surgery for my 7 year old. Very frightening experience to see your child go through something so young. If it wasn’t for the ENTIRE hospital staff, I do not believe I could have been as calm and level headed. They just made me and my daughter feel so calm and comfortable. They answered EVERY question, especially when they had to give her the “calming” meds b4 her surgery. Our pre-op RN “Stephanie”was amazing, kind, knowledgeable , sweet, patient, attentive and just an all around good person. Ty from the bottom of our hearts ♥️ “Shirley” the OR RN was so very kind and calming, I was so scared when they wheeled her away because she was crying, and Shirley assured me she was in great hands! ❤️ “Natalie” was her recovery RN and she was simply amazing. Seeing my child Asleep hooked up on a breathing mask made me very nervous and Natalie was there every moment to explain EVERYTHING about what would happen when she woke up, and how to care for her at home. She was also knowledgeable, kind, patient, and completely understanding about my severe nervousness. We are so very grateful for you Natalie♥️ and Last but certainly not least is “David”, the young man who wheeled my daughter out to the car. David was kind, careful, funny and just super helpful. Thank god you have these guys to help your little patients out, it’s a huge help and a nice touch. Also, the cafe staff, working hard to provide yummy food to hungry families, TY so much for our dinner! I highly recommend the BLT & Chicken Fingers! Overall, our experience here my nothing short of remarkable. This hospital treats children with respect and the utmost kindness! They give treats and toys and just make the children feel less like their in a hospital and more like a fun and comfortable environment! We recommend Joe D to ALL parents. And TY from the bottom of our family’s hearts ♥️ For taking such amazing care of our daughter! God bless all of you ♥️🙏🏼🤲🏾🤗👍🏼💯😍🥰👩⚕️🧑⚕️👨⚕️♥️

If your child has a long stay they do have a place for parents to stay or you can also stay with your child in the their room.

Im really not sure. My son had surgery here a few weeks ago. I didnt see any pregnant woman just kids. Memorial Hospital is like right next to it. So im pretty sure you can go there.
Not sure but you can call them they are very friendly. My daughter is recovering from brain surgery at this moment one of the best for children in south Miami.
