My family has had several dismal encounters with personnel at Bellevue's CHI Health Clinic. Doctors don't prescribe an adequate amount of medicine for a health issue, so you're forced to return and spend another $300 on an exam fee to get the rest of the medicine you needed and should have been prescribed. Nurses are unknowledgeable and combative. They ignore your test results, claiming you can view and comprehend them yourself on MyChart — despite all of the excessive medical jargon in test results — and when you call to get help understanding everything from blood draw to CT scan results on MyChart because you've never attended medical school, you're on hold for an hour before you get a receptionist/phone nurse who says you'll get a call back "some time". This clinic has an alarmingly concentrated number of staff who do their job just about halfway — so much so that it's fairly easy to sense the frustration exuding off other clinic staffers who ARE putting forth the effort to do their own job well and efficiently. I won't step foot in there ever again, and I would recommend anyone who cares about their family getting adequate and compassionate healthcare to avoid this clinic.

The doctors and nurses have always been excellent but the staff behind the counter has finally made me look for a new doctor. Yesterday I called to pay off a bill, waited a full half hour on hold, which I wasn’t mad about at the time because everywhere is understaffed, then when someone finally picked up I asked to pay my bill and without saying anything else he put me back on hold for 10 minutes, then he sent my call to another service to pay my bill. While sitting on hold for this new line I decided to drive all the way to the facility and when I walked in nobody was there, the whole staff was available. I was still on hold and I showed the woman at the counter that and they didn’t really care. I’d NEVER been sent to a third party to pay a bill but it was mostly the callousness of the staff that was frustrating. I would look for a doctor with staff that treats you like a person and not a number, this place has gotten worse as the years have gone by and for me it’s time to find somewhere that cares more. My total hold time yesterday was 1 hour 8 minutes. Instead of just taking my card over the phone they would rather you wait that long.

Over the past year and a half I have consistently received subpar to terrible service. Yesterday, Friday, I called in to make sure it's prescription would be ready. I was assured twice it would be ready before the provider left for the day as I called several hours in advance. Closing time comes and guess what? No one even opened my request. This happens all the time and even with medical documents for work. My job was threatened at a prior location because it took 3 weeks to get paperwork back and I had to call everyday and nothing was done. This is the best example of the extremely sad and unfortunate disconnect that exists in big corporations like CHI health. Today was the breaking point as I really needed this medication before the weekend and now I'm going to have to go to urgent care to take care of my needs and spend more unnecessary money on an appointment that I also don't need. I will never go back there and I highly suggest if you value quality care to go literally anywhere else.

I absolutely love this clinic. I have never had such a terrific experience with a healthcare provider, I am treated like family here. I have been lucky enough to get Sue as a nurse for my visits and she is so sweet and so personable. Dr Stangl is amazing, such a great doctor and so funny. I want to thank anyone in this clinic for the level and quality of care they provide.
