Awesome park! Love coming here for the Ren Fest!

I have been coming to this park since 1997 with family & friends. I've seen it grow into such an amazing place. From paddle boats, dog park, Frisbee golf, kids water park, play grounds, skiing, bbqing, camping & especially the Renfest!!! I go every year if opened. This place never disappoints.

Great trails, even after a lot of rain! There are more rocky trails throughout the 9 mile course, but there are at least one or two trails that have smooth berms. Good to know that the trails hold up after lots of rain, probably because of all the ponds nearby that the water can drain to. You’ll get water views, but also the turnpike. Much narrower trails than Camp Murphy at JD, take it easy if you’re not familiar or you’ll end up in the drink or hitting a bolder jetting out on the trail!

Camping at Quiet waters park on a beautiful lake. The weather was cool and nice. There are 2 outlets outside of the tent for lights. Bring plenty of lights. Our neighbor hung Christmas lights on their tent which was a great idea. Each site has a grill, fire ring and picnic tables.

There are paved and there is the best mountain bike trails you’ll find in South Florida and a BMX track don’t miss it they seem to be having a lot of fun
You don't need to, there are tons of them around that you don't need to make reservations for. Only the large covered ones need to reserve.
Park is open.. but i have no idea what the summer will bring.
Leash law im effect.. They enforce that for sure.. No extra charge for the dog.. They have a very cool feature called Woofing Waters.. For like $25 you get use of the marina area.. Beautiful views of the back lake with many real cool features that make this Dog Heaven.. My friends.. Staff.. work very hard on keeping this a 5 🌟.. See ya here.😀😀😀
I know the pricing.. 1.50 on weekends and holidays.. Or 26$ for a yearly pass that. i have.. A great family experience.. Voted best park in Broward County for very good reasons.🔤😀🐟🐡
Yes during the day fine.. You can park it in the camping area overnight and get a tent building.. Hot showers electric and grill for like 40$.. Enjoy the park.. This place rocks
Yes they do, and yes they are. "Woofing waters" (and marina)is the name of the dog park area. They have an area for large dogs, as well as a separate area for medium and small dogs.
Depending on availability, surely another tent/cabin can be available if you speak to the front office
Faux wood resin planks floor. Resin frame. Mosquito netting. Heavy duty canvass tent. Resists heavy rain & wind.. and helps with cold weather. Full amenities outside next to tents: electricity, water faucet. Very accommodating for those who like the middle-of-the-ground car camping.. not primitive and not "glamping." My family will not camp with me otherwise! ;-) Regarding your question about sleeping on the ground.. no ground sleeping, but the floor is firm, hard, no give. Unless you're a youngster who can handle minimal cushion, I suggest anything from a mat to an air mattress or cot. At my age, it's easier to roll out of a cot. My scouting days are long past! One last note. Camp sites cost the same whether you use your own tent (no power.. no running water) at any of the parks. I believe that because of this, that it's hard to reserve a site particularly in the cooler months. Lots of people traveling get good use out of these sites at a third of the price of a hotel room.
They charge at the entrance gate on weekends and holidays only, during the week is free. You are also allowed to ride bikes inside the park on paved trails for free. However, if you want to ride bikes on the off-road mountain bike trails, you must watch a video and pay a membership fee of $25 (which is good for both Quiet Waters Park and Markham Park mountain bike trails)
The park is open until sundown, usually 8:00pm during Summer, 6:00pm during Winter, but the hours can change, check the info on Maps, they're pretty accurate.
I don't believe you can . The only ones I saw were designated spots where the tents were already set up. You can call the office prior. They've always been willing to help .
You know I'm not sure but you could call there and see if they do
Considering you typically need a fresh water license to fish in most waters, I'd advise better safe than sorry, and they are less than $3.00 anyhow, plus you can fish anywhere in the state with the license.
The park is usually open at 8 am
Yes , infact it's on the other side of the park from the children's water park
No, only in the summer
Yes, you can see them there. I usually see them on the west side of the park. There's also eagles nesting in the park.
No it is not. I believe it is set to open in August.
Weekends
Per the website park is only open Friday & Saturday partially. Nothing about Waterpark. Sorry
I was there last week and only the warm-up trail was open.
What time they close
The cable water skiing was operating normally, but the water park was closed. I would suggest calling the park in case something has changed.
The water park is still closed
There are at Ski Rixen..The Renaissance festival. The grills are also mostly gone too.. Best run park in S.FLA by far.
Daily rates for a single unit that holds up to 4 people is $35, plus the park entrance fee which is $1.50 per person, but is only charged on Weekends and/or Holidays, week days are free. Hope that helps.
I don't see people with dog only Bikers and people doing barbecue
Yes it is. But there is also a leash law in the park. As long as it's not a loose pitbull or Rottweiler they usually don't even mess with you
$47 pre person
Yes an 18 hole course quiet waters has disc golf. No need to go to trade winds lots to do at quiet waters. From camping to cook outs ski rixen. And much more
Sorry don't play golf
Most of the time you can enter for free and there are nice areas to sit and talk.
Fishing is allowed in only the shores but i don't know if u have to pay when u walk in just no fishing in the usa lake or swimming beach
I believe no more than $ 10.
Call to find out
There isn't much. I stayed 2 weeks, and you can see more stars on a country road. There is too much light pollution. You can't even see the milky way
As long as I remember the gates are kept open the whole day.
Thank you Michael for answering! I was wondering about the Renaissance Festival in the dog park. I appreciate the information that you shared.
Call bike america.. They are located in the ski rixen plaza.. You have to join to use the trails.. I think like 25$ for the year.. Do call and i would talk to them in person to see if this works for you. The expert trails are no joke..😀😀
I believe they open sometime in March. Call and check for exact date
It was $25 for a year memberhip. Or $5 each time you go. The annual membership is the far better deal.
Good question. I'm not sure about that but usually one (a wetsuit) is not necessary due to warm water. It has been a bit cooler this winter.
We fish while we camp at the campground.
Yes. Unless it's a weekend. There is a fee of $1.50 per person on the weekends.
Same answer as the others. Call the office or go to their website.
I don't speak. Spanish. Call office maybe someone there does
No you have to be a campground resident.. Yea "Broom" runs that area.. Beware of Broom he don't like trespassers... Better off jumping in the lake.
Yes you have to pay if you want to use the pavilions, but there is plenty of table and grills to use for free, first in first serve....
No issues with snakes. Grass are well kept and there are good bathrooms not sure if they have showers maybe the ones in the water park area. The water park area does have places to buy food. You go up to a window to buy the food
Call
Yes there are grills at the campsites and they have a waterpark but the lake I would not swim in.
Ya got to start somewhere.. the only problem is swimming to shore then walking back.. nice late pretty clean.😀😎
Its not close to the beach. Its like 6miles away from the beach. They will alow pit bulls and in ts free if you went on the weekdays. Theres a charge on the weekends. BUT im not sure if they will allow camping. You have to ask because i dont think so.
No more. They closed.
The park is open except on Christmas every day.. right now the Renaissance festival is in play taking a portion for the event... It will take you back to the 15 hundred time frame.. you may want to check it out.. park still open for all.. my favorite county park.. 😀
u
you can rent a campsite for up to 14 days
$35/night with a $50 security deposit that you get back once everything is cleaned at the end of your stay. If you bring a pet (Which you are allowed to have up to 2 per tent) there is a $20 pet deposit which you also get back as long as the pet is not a nuisance
Haven't heard anything about the opening, they are still "working" on it after about 2 years. The marina has been closed for as long. I don't see much activity in the area, and I usually go down once a week.
110 ac, people run ac's and fans.
8am
Yes. I've registered my 60lb lab many times in the camp area. Leash restrictions, shots, etc
It's $35 plus tax for one night with a $50 security deposit which must be left on a debit or credit card in your name. There are specials during the summer months where it is a little cheaper. You do not have to pay to get in to the park as a registered camper, your guests, however, do pay. (The holiday and weekend admission fee.) You're allowed to bring up to two pets per site, a $20 pet deposit is required to be left as well. Both deposits are refundable as long as there is no problems with your campsite or pet. Reservations can be done online, over the phone or at the park office. Camping is available all year (including Christmas Day, New Year's and Easter)
