Lisa LeRette
I had an appointment and experienced minimal wait time. Lisa was very courteous and professional. While there I witnessed another employee, Colleen, go out of her way to assist a customer. This man was not particularly pleasant in the beginning (I could hear everything he was saying) but she remained professional and was so helpful. I would like to thank the folks that work here. It is not an easy job. Also..I would absolutely hate it if everyone I encountered at work could write a Google review about me! Thanks for what you do. 😁

I'd like to know why I made an appointment for people that don't have appointments to get in before me while I had to schedule this around childcare
starla reimers
They were pretty fast. Pretty nice too I dropped a giant cup of ice cubes all over her her floor and she helped Mr pick it up and wasn't even nasty.

Hire more people! 1 person working at 10 am is absolutely ridiculous! No wonder Lisa was so cranky! 15 of us sitting with appts in the lobby & 1 person working the counter. She just told this guy he couldn't make an appt until mid December!!! That is unacceptable! No one can wait that long! Get it together council bluffs DMV!!

Go online make a appt for picture ID dmv.com/iA
what do I need to bring to get a replacement driver lisence?
What do I need to get an ID
It's council bluffs.
Here's a link to the Iowa DOT website with license types and fees. https://iowadot.gov/mvd/driverslicense/Fees-and-license-type
About 10 days and you should have it already. I would give them a call.
An instruction permit costs $6. You can create a checklist of documents that you need to bring with you at https://secure.iowadot.gov/iowadot/realid/success.html.
That and apparently $32.
Here's a link to that information - the cost is $10 for a duplicate license. https://iowadot.gov/mvd/driverslicense/changes-or-corrections
10 i think
Do you have your birth certificate and social security card? If so that's all you need. You only need bills in your name if your going to get the gold star on your id. It lets you skip security check points faster... That's all.

I saw some today. You could probably get a copy online
Go online or call to make an appointment. Proof of insurance and registration for vehicle you'll be taking driving test in.
I believe you always have to call them and make an appointment for any reason.
Don't know. I would call.
The cost for a driver's license depends upon the type of license and the restrictions/endorsements. You can find the fees for each type of license at: https://iowadot.gov/mvd/driverslicense/Fees-and-license-type. Your vehicle registration depends on the type and age of the vehicle. Your county treasurer handles your vehicle registration. The phone number for Pottawattamie County Treasurer is 712-328-5631.
No, you get 180 days before and 60 days after your birthday to renew your license.
You go take the test at any iowa dnv
Yes. But you have to go in to do it.
You would need to take the knowledge test and the drive test. You can take the knowledge test anytime, but you would need to be 18 to take the drive test. If you are under 18 when you take the knowledge test, you would need to have a parent or guardian come with you to sign the parental consent form. You will also need to bring a certified birth certificate and social security card. If you are over the age of 18 when you come in, you will also need to bring in two pieces of mail with your name and address on it. You can make a checklist of everything you need to bring at https://iowadot.gov/mvd/realid/success.aspx.
Yes. You can make an appointment at https://iowadot.gov/service-selector. If you are eligible, you can get a replacement at a kiosk. You do not need an appointment to go to a kiosk. For eligibility information and a list of kiosk locations, go to https://iowadot.gov/mvd/kiosks.
Go to the DMV
You will need to make an appointment to come in to get it changed. You can make an appointment at https://iowadot.gov/service-selector. You may also be eligible to change it at a kiosk. To see the eligibility requirements and the locations of the kiosks, go to https://iowadot.gov/mvd/kiosks. You do not need an appointment to use a kiosk.
You can get a persons with disabilities placard at this location. You will need to make an appointment at https://iowadot.gov/mvd/driverslicense/service-selector. For plates, you would need to mail in the application and medical statement. Here is the link for that application and the address to mail it to for the plates. https://iowadot.gov/mvd/driverslicense/Mail-person-with-disabilities-parking-permit-application
Yep - you do need an appointment. You can schedule that online at https://iowadot.gov/mvd/driverslicense/service-selector.
It's a very busy time right now. If you need to make an appointment, you're best bet it to use our online scheduling system at https://iowadot.gov/mvd/driverslicense/service-selector
It is $8 per year and the term is 8 years - so $64. Here's a link to the Iowa DOT's website with details - https://iowadot.gov/mvd/driverslicense/Fees-and-license-type
You need an appointment for a drive test, but not for any written tests.
You will need your license, birth certificate, ss card, 2 items with your current address and copy of marriage license if your last name has changed. Don't believe it costs extra. You can go to iowadot.gov to make sure I didn't miss anything!
That really depends on what type of license you're getting. Here's a link to the Iowa DOT website with the fees. https://iowadot.gov/mvd/driverslicense/fees-and-license-type
No, the car can belong to someone else. The vehicle you drive for the test must be registered, the license plates must be properly displayed, and you must present the proof of financial liability (insurance) coverage card issued for the vehicle. The examiner will inspect the vehicle’s safety equipment: lights, signals, horn, tires, brakes and windshield wipers. If the registration, plates or insurance is not in order, or if any of the equipment does not work, you will not be able to take the driving test in that vehicle until the deficiencies are remedied.
If you have the gold star, you should be good to go. Thanks!
I believe it's $24
5yr
You have sixty days to renew
Utility bill with your name on it, or your lease if you rent your home. Hope that helps.
If it is an iowa license and you haven't moved out of state then back, just bring your license. No proof needed to change address. Renewal fee is $20 to $32 cash, ceck or charge
Not more than 6 dollars
yes
