I recently had a wood stove insert installed in my fireplace, and I was very pleased with everyone involved, from Shaun who helped me find an electrician who could do the electrical work involved on fairly short notice, to Jeremy and Jesse who did the installation and had to deal with some challenges with the fireplace itself, to the 2 men (sorry, I don't remember their names) who helped them get the unit up the stairs to my house - they had come out previously to clean the chimney and were relieved to see that the stairs from the driveway to the house had been rebuilt since they were last here. When Jeremy realized a piece of trim for the faceplate was missing, he called the store and someone was able to bring the trim out so everything was perfect before he left, and he went over the owner's manual with me so I felt confident that I knew how to operate my beautiful new stove. Thank you all so much!

Although we had to wait awhile for our chimney cleaning appointment (hint: don't wait until fall/winter to schedule it!) Dean and Alex were great. They came earlier in the day than scheduled and did a great job cleaning our fireplace and fixing the gas starter which had been not working properly since we moved into our house. Highly recommend Smokey Stoves!

We had a new pellet stove installed by Jeremy and Cal from Smokey's Stove. They were very good at installing, friendly. They made sure the stove was working before they left. Cleaned up after and explained how to use the stove. We were very happy and would give them a 10!!!!! Howe's

Full brick replacement job is something we would do in the spring. We do sell bricks at the store if you wanted to do it yourself, or need it done right away. I only say that because right now my schedule is booked out until first week of February.

Hi Mary, Thank you for writing. All Avalon wood burning models have passed an EPA certification test. If you have the owner's manual or know which model of Avalon you own, you should be able to prove certification without removing the insert. Hope that helps! -Shaun

Hello Marie, If you are still having this problem, a full service and cleaning on a pellet stove runs $179.00 and takes about an hour and a half to complete. The Make and model of the pellet stove will be helpful in diagnosing your issues. -Shaun
