We almost booked Chauncey as our wedding venue, but pulled out due to communication issues. For context, my fiancee and I live in Seattle and are planning our east coast wedding primarily through email and FaceTime tours, so communication is a priority to us. Unfortunately, our communications with Larissa left us feeling like we were not a priority. Larissa would often be out of the office and unable to respond to emails within 1-2 days (usually taking closer to 3-4 days and having to e-mail her twice). When we asked to have a meeting on the phone to talk about the most productive way to communicate moving forward, she was unapologetic for her delayed responses and suggested we continue sending her emails--not productive. Her responses consisted of monosyllabic answers and an unfriendly tone. Ultimately, it was a lack of communication and not feeling like a priority that drew us away from Chauncey.

If you are considering getting married here, Larissa will make sure you have your dream wedding. Despite having another wedding the day before ours, Larissa made sure to share her precious time for all my questions and was very responsive about my concerns. The day of the wedding, it was clear how hard Larissa was working as she personally made sure all the decor was displayed correctly and treated our rentals like her own by keeping them safe. The hotel itself is also a beautiful venue in a secluded area with flowers in full bloom and a bridge that was perfect for first look photos. The hotel also has a food tasting that you should attend where they serve appetizers, entrees, and the cake. The eggplant caponata with whipped ricotta and basil was so delicious it was added to cocktail hour. The entrees tasted even better than the tasting the day of the wedding and overall I could not have been more please in how the wedding turned out. If you are considering having a wedding here you should ask for Larissa!

was going to have my wedding here but of course with covid it was cancelled. the entire process leading up (which should have been my wedding day) was so easy, and seamless. We worked with Amanda and she was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions! (I did have quite a bit). The food tasting was AMAZING and the venue we did get to see it all dressed up since we went to a wedding event the year prior. The grounds are gorgeous and we also rented the Laurie house. It is so beautiful. Even though we were canceled to covid they still offered us our anniversary stay which was beyond gracious and they were amazing to deal with. If you have a chance to book with them for your special day, please do so.

The Chauncey is a great venue to host all of your wedding events. It's super convenient to have your rehearsal dinner and day of events in one location. Plus all your guests can stay on the grounds in their lovely hotel rooms. Their pricing is quite reasonable as well and the staffing is superb! We had the pleasure of having Amanda as our wedding coordinator who was a rockstar in answering all of our questions leading up to the wedding and making sure everything was setup and in place for our big day. The Chauncey was also super accommodating during the pandemic when we had to change our wedding date more than once. We were fortunate to have a venue and all of our vendors be extremely understanding and helpful during a stressful time. Highly recommend hosting your wedding here!
