We ordered online through their website and picked up our order. We got the vegan neatloaf with mashed potatoes and gravy, the chicken salad sandwich with sweet potato fries, and the German chocolate cake. Our favorite thing was the chicken salad sandwich! It was so good! I liked the neatloaf better than my husband did but he still ate some of it. I think it would taste so0o good with the gravy on it instead of the bbq sauce. The mashed potatoes with gravy are delicious! The sweet potato fries were really good too. My husband ate the German chocolate cake and he really liked it as well. The customer service was great. The staff member gave us napkins and utensils which was very helpful because we took our food to the park in front of the city building to eat. Thank you for a good experience!

Went to Amanda Fuara for lunch today and overall it was a good experience. This is a Vegan, Vegetarian, and Plant Based restaurant with modest decor and Indian themed. I appreciate restaurants that cater exclusively to a particular crowd because all vegan options are few and far between. Central located on Market Street near City Hall, this restaurant is easily accessible via Bart and has both dine in and carry out options. I ordered a Beyond Meat burger and sweet potato fries. Overall, it wasn’t bad. The burger was drenched in BBQ, which overpowered what should have been crispy lettuce and other veggies. They also have freshly baked sweets with a healthy twist, if you have a sweet tooth. I definitely recommend trying to place out. On a critical note, I was given the wrong order, walked back to my office, only to have to turn around and go back. This was I accepted, especially when I consider the heat wave and the fact that the restaurant wasn’t busy. Mistakes happen, but, if I wasn’t in a position to come immediately back, my review would have been far more critical.

I've come here a handful of times now and have had good food and experience each time. The first time I went, I was warned by several friends who said they had a very strange and awkward experience with the servers, but I haven't experienced that myself. They are perhaps not the friendliest, but I get the feeling that they're going for a minimalistic and zen (maybe too zen?) level of interaction (i.e. they'll take your order and are helpful if you have questions or need suggestions, and they'll bring you your food, but they're not going to ask you how you are or anything like that). I've enjoyed all the food I've had from here. The Neatloaf (made vegan) was amazingly delicious especially with the mushroom gravy it comes with. There's a reason the Neatloaf Dinner and Neatloaf Sandwich are some of their best sellers. The vegan carne asada (soy-based) tacos were really good as well, and bigger than I expected (you get two). I got the tacos with a cup of dal as part of their lunch special, and the dal was lightly spiced and really good, too. Together, they made for a very filling lunch. Items that are vegan or that can be made vegan are clearly marked on the menu. I only wish it were easier to tell what's gluten-free, though. Only a handful of things are labeled on the menu as gluten-free, but the servers have been able to tell me what's gluten-free and what's not and what can be gluten-free.

Best vegetarian food in the city. I am not vegetarian but I do love their brunch! Their egg benedicts are very tasty and their banana pancakes are delicious. Service is always pleasant. The place is small and they don't have that many tables. Parking can be challenging since the restaurant is near city hall. I do love coming here with my partner to eat.

Hi Peter, traditionally we have always been closed for Thanksgiving and the day after as well. Unfortunately I don't see that changing this year. Hope to see you on another day.
As far as I know, Ananda does not take reservations. It's small so I would try to go a bit earlier or later and hopefully miss the lunch crowd, particularly on a weekday. Enjoy!
Hi Joe, we are 100% vegetarian but not completely vegan. About half the menu is vegan and the most of the items that do not come vegan, there is an option to order it vegan. Out of our whole menu, there are probably only 5 or 6 things that cannot be make vegan. In addition, all our dessert are vegan.
I dont work there. Try googling vegitarian meat loaf independent restaurants dont. Usually give out there secrets
