Beautiful peaceful spot. We loved it!

It's a fairly nice if basic camp area, more setup for tents than campers. There were already 2 campers there when I arrived, 1 maybe 16 foot and 1 big 5th wheel toy hauler with another flatbed towed behind that. Super long. Add in my 21 foot and it would be hard to get anything else in there. The entrance does involve a short but steep descent. That also means climbing out when you leave. The road is loose dirt over rock. I had to lock in 4x4 to pull Val up without spinning tires and throwing dirt. This is a free and basically undeveloped camping area. There is a solid his/hers outhouse style bathroom but that's it. The scenery is gorgeous though, and you are right next to Sand Creek. Cell service is available but spotty. There is kind of a string of these camping areas along this stretch of road, I think 4 total, so if this one is full or not to your liking you can check a little further up the road. If you're pulling something bigger, you might want to walk in and eyeball it before you drive in.

Beautiful and free. Although a wino had had explosive diarrhea all over the floor and toilet of the single restroom for the camp, it was an amazing place to camp. There's a swimming hole and a gorgeous waterfall. Really nicely maintained and an amazing place. Just beware the wino.

Beautiful spot, but the cows were home. Many, many cows! Upset my dogs a bit when they got right next to the RV. They mooed off and on all night. Some even laid down near the RV. It rained, so lots of wet cow piles to dodge. I didn't use the pit toilet, but the building looks new. I was the only overnight guest, besides the cows. You can stay here up to 5 nights. I stayed here in a Class B RV. Going to check out the other areas.

No, we are under a "red flag" advisory here in Wyoming, propane is allowed but no charcoal or open pits. It's workable, but the forest service does a flyover every morning!
It's posted that there's a six day (I believe) maximum stay, but I believe that no one will take away your birthday if you stay seven 😁
Show up and park. No reservations necessary.
