This is a nice place. My second cousin's husband had his memorial here. The parking lot is huge and the bar is only for members I believe. I went to this location to vote because the library had a long line. The people were very nice and I recommend it.

May be a little prejudice, cause I am a member, though a new one. Nice place to have a drink and chat with other vets. The people there are always nice and make you feel comfortable.

I believe you can as long as you were active military personnel for at least 100 days or 90 days something like that it does not matter if you ever left the United States or not but the clarify you should probably just call the VFW will let you know for sure
