I've found Greene Street excellent for shopping and consigning. For shopping, there's a nice mix of higher end brands (got a great pair of Max Mara shoes) and more mass market brands (i.e, Free People, Ann Taylor, Chicos, etc). Most items are in good condition and prices are reasonable. Consigned there multiple times and always had a good experience.

Since they changed the consignment rules I think it’s not been as good. Various charges cut into the profit and you get less percentage. I’ve had some things stolen on my consignment now several times and you have to take credit. They make it seem like they are doing you a favor with the small credit, when their store has sticky fingers. Plus whether you have real Ralph Lauren or some junkie target brand the prices are similar in price so it’s not really worth it to consign nicer things. The Last Nike t shirt I bought for my son there had a small hole in the collar and it cost 25 dollars. I didn’t notice until I got home and it was too late . I could have gone to goodwill and gotten clothes with holes for 99 cents.
