We went for afternoon tea. AT $65 per person, it is definitely NOT worth it. Service was very nice, but negatives were musty smell upon entering and horrible music piped in. Chicago tunes from the 1970s in what is supposed to be an elegant place? Bar area is nice. I don't think I'll return.

I booked a room here for one night because this is supposed to be the best place in town. The bartender was great and the food was enjoyable. Valet was good. Everything else was bad. My room was warm, musty, and humid. I complained about it multiple times but it never really improved to a comfortable level. There was barely any air coming from the ac even after I was told that they put it on the highest setting. Because of the temperature problem, I had to have the window open. Big mistake with the windows. After about 2AM, there is a constant flow of trucks passing through making noise with their air brakes and engines. Terrible. Could not sleep. The room smelled. There was a suffocating scent in the room. I thought I would get used to it, but I never did. It still haunts me. The shower head was disgusting. I felt dirtier after showering than I did before. Although I enjoyed dinner I regret staying here. Room 203 needs to be deep cleaned and the air needs to be serviced.

I loved this hotel! The room was beautiful, so clean, and very comfortable with unique and thoughtful touches throughout. I was especially grateful for all of Michael’s help and hospitality, from the complimentary room upgrade to storing my luggage after checking out. It made the stay extra special. With many thanks!

It was not crowded and I felt very safe there. The tables are very well spaced. I was greeted by a friendly valet parking attendant. The food was incredible...I had the farmer's omelet at Sunday brunch. The bread basket had a French toast muffin and a chocolate croissant, which went perfectly with my unsweet lunch selection. The bread that went along with my omelet appeared to be ordinary white toast but it has such a sweet amazing flavor. The butter was great. The vegetables used in the omelet were perfect, especially the mushrooms. Potatoes were nice and hot with a wonderful center. Even the coffee was excellent. My date had the French toast and said he loved it, that it was not too sweet and didn't even use syrup because of the fruits and pecans it came with. He used the word perfect. So I definitely recommend The Perch at the Peacock Inn for brunch and I'm looking forward to another visit!
