I was looking forward to meeting our two daughters and their husband's to celebrate my retirement on the new patio. Upon arrival I was surprised to see all of my sisters and their families as part of the celebration surprise. I was so sorry I chose the Pineville Tavern as my selection for a celebration. The service was horrible from the moment my husband and I arrived. With everyone already seated upon our arrival, we were never even offered a drink of any kind by our waitress. After ordering, both our appetizers and entrees got cold because the table was never set with the appropriate amount of flatware for the number of guests the reservation was made for. When my daughters soup appetizer arrived and she asked for a spoon, the waitress acted surprised that she would need a spoon! By the time a spoon was brought, the soup was cold. This also happened when our entrees arrived with half the party having silverware and the other half not. To top the many inconveniences off, the waitress let us know shortly after we finished our entrees, with a party of 15, that our time was up as she had another reservation coming in! Never in my life have I been timed at a restaurant and told my time was up! Whether it was a party of two or twenty! The tip was automatically included in the bill. I guess a guaranteed tip does NOT include guaranteed service! I had always enjoyed patio dining at the Pineville going back many years and was excited to see the new costly renovations made. They tried to make an enjoyable outdoor space an enclosed structure replicating the outdoors but really failed. They should have saved all that money and left well enough alone. When people select outdoors, they want OUTDOORS! My entire party will not be returning to the Pineville Tavern. I would also like to add that beside our entrees or appetizer, there was NO soup or salad or bread served with the meal. If you ordered an entree, that was it! A complimentary salad is usually served at even the cheapest pizza parlor!

What happened to this coveted Bucks County go-to for awesome sandwiches and drinks…the “Garden” is a nice effort but too much stuff that felt more like a messy jungle. And, not built to accommodate a fully open environment in warmer months 😕. Menu was the same & food was cold. Upside… our waitress was super nice & busting her butt. Sadly we won’t return.

Ordered a burger to go at medium temp, picked it up and it was burnt to a crisp. Didn’t notice till I got home but food was practically inedibly burnt. Servers weren’t very friendly either, take out area was locked, to go parking was coned off and had to park in the back of a crowded, cramped lot. Ordered cheddar cheese, got American. Ordered no vegetables, burger had lettuce tomatoes and onions. Very frustrating.

The Pineville Tavern is in an historic building with a number of small, cozy rooms. The bar is small but quaint. Our group of four arrived for lunch and we were immediately seated. Plenty of selections on their beer list (both bottled and draft). The wings were very good, and the burgers were very good as well. Staff are all very friendly and attentive. We'll definitely be back.
