There is an air compressor somewhere near the elevator on the third floor (in the only wing currently operational) that I can only guess charges the fire sprinkler risers. When it kicks on every 5-10 minutes it literally shakes the floor and rattles the cabinets and fixtures in the first few rooms on the third and second floor. The noise can be heard even farther. I've been staying at this hotel off and on for 3 months for business and have mentioned it several times to the staff. Nothing has been done to update or change the compressor. I'm concerned about the frequency at which this compressor runs, as it is indicative of a leak in the system. Not maintaining sufficient pressure in the sprinkler system is a definite safety concern. The hotel was struck by a power surge due to a storm last night and the compressor went quiet. Then the fire alarms went off. I'm not sure if it is related, but after the fire department let everyone back in the building, it stayed quiet. Best sleep I've had all week. Though, the potential hazard of not having a functional sprinkler system because the compressor was down and the system had a leak and insufficient air pressure to activate did creep into my mind... Oh, and the mattresses are super comfy. Five stars for that, minus two for loud noises and minus two more for potential death-trap.

Reservation requests not met in spite of confirmation in advance that I simply needed side by side rooms for me and my brother with Alzheimers. Front desk not sympathetic at all and did not nothing to remedy their screw up. Made the stay a nightmare since he was not near me and kept getting locked out of his room. He could not find me and I could not hear him to respond to his needs. Also sink clogged in my room...so gross. $163 bucks a night should get you a working room! Rooms not cleaned...they used the excuse of a "new hitlon standard" that you have to REQUEST cleaning, in spite of the more logical traditional reverse. Staff did NOT inform me of this b.s. money saving policy...disguised as covid friendly. Night staff offered no remedy. Staff in general are snotty there. Noticed other money saving changes from my 30 yrs of being a Hilton customer such as not a piece of paper or pen in the room, cheap "light roast" coffee that is watered down, microscopic size soap. Don't waste your money here.

One not so good was one of the front desk Gentlemen a bit little rude, I was asking about spending another night. So that actually set the tone not to stay the extra night. Tried to tell him we were in the middle of moving and we were needing an Xtra night because we're were moving 70 miles away and ran into some issues that we needed to go back to the old house that we just sold 8 miles away.. But his rudeness just made me not want to stay the Xtra night. But great hotel for my dog very pet friendly.

Very comfy and well situated. The breakfast area has an antique touch that makes it very appealing. Courteous concierges in front desk. Hot breakfast is served with very decent options as well as on the go. Both ice machines from 3rd & 2nd floor are broken, we had to all the way to first floor to get some.
