A great park for the outdoorsy type, and those who just want to take in the scenery! Bring your bathing suits and a floatie if possible!

One of our favorite spots. Bring your swim suit in the summer. Floaty, paddle board, rafting, bike path, all things you are able to do at this beautiful park located right next to the Boise river. Perfect for taking pictures or hosting celebrations. Playground and sand near the beach for the little ones is nice as well.

Beautiful place! Such a nice walking path and all the animals make my day!

Boises crown jewel threatened. Recently we witnessed a homeless person smash a sign with a crowbar on the edge of this park and then approach us asking for directions to State Street. He was agitated and high or drunk. The Boise Mayor and Police Chief defunded Bike Patrol. We used to see them 2-3 times a day along greenbelt. They also don’t dispatch to move the homeless out of the parks and if you enter the parks at the crack of dawn some of them are still up on a bender and you are not safe. The police don’t even call you back anymore to tell you what they did if you report an incident and we now see graffiti that sits for months without being removed. With a police chief the mayor hired from Portland I am concerned we are slowly becoming the next Portland. I hope citizens stand up to hold our leaders accountable and keep us safe.

There are several places designated for grilling
yes you can buddy
I've seen one or two there. It's a huge park so there's probably more.
Who cares? It's good use of what was useless land.
Esther Simplot Park is an expansive 55-acre site encompassing approximately 23 acres of ponds, I will recommend to turn on an app on your phone to track the pad you are wanting to know and be more accurate.
It is best to not bring the pups to Simplot park. It's like a $90 ticket. Dogs are allowed on the green belt which goes along the park but not in the park itself.
No not here. Yes some in kinda nearby areas, mostly up the mountain though. Also id recommend booking ahead anywhere in the area
No. It is free.
It is part of the playground.
One of the ponds is currently closed because of suspicious algae
Not that I saw, but plenty of grassy area to set one up, I'm pretty sure.
Music on the water Saturday and Sunday! Free entrance. Beer garden, taco trucks, great music....and (of course) great people! 😊👌
Dogs are permitted on leash only on the Greenbelt travelling through the park. They are not allowed anywhere in the park.
There is fishing and they are catching but they are still recommending catch and release
I would assume if the pooch is on a leash or not insane it's a free country and worse case just a book and release down at the pound they get immunizations etc. added to the bail amount u don't authorize but get to pay for. Could be neutered also which I wouldn't wish on my worse enemy certainly not my best friend. Pick up any landmines and leashed you might get warned sorry couldn't help
Yeah there is pits at the park and it is allowed
I heard on the news, high risk E. Coli. I wouldn't swim in the pond. You're better off to go swimming at the lake or river.
You can bring a grill to the picnic areas of Esther Simplot. They must have a drip pan.
