I attended with high hopes. But the pastor didn’t preach from the Bible or even read from it. He rambled most of the time, as if he was just thinking it up as he went along. He clearly wasn’t prepared and I’m honestly not even sure he believed what he was saying. He did manage to preach on the importance of tithing to the church, but I didn’t hear anything about salvation or see him crack open a Bible even once. However having said that… the other church goers were wonderful and welcoming and the Sunday school class that my child attended was amazing. She is on the spectrum and has adhd and struggles in classroom settings, but she had the best time and they did crafts and taught about Jesus. So if you’re looking for a good Childrens church, the garden was fantastic, but if you’re looking for a Pastor that preaches directly from the word of God then I would recommend going somewhere else.

Kid in a recent sermon chose to sit down in his chair instead of standing with the rest of the congregation because he was in pain and sitting would have been better for his health. Pastor Tom ridiculed him into the microphone, in front of the whole church, for not having “the backbone to stand for God,” and that he “didn’t have the right to be in the room” for simply sitting down because he was in pain. This behavior does not create a safe or welcoming atmosphere. I hope someone informs Pastor Tom that behavior like this is completely unacceptable for a house of peace and worship. He stopped the whole sermon to ridicule a child.

Such a welcoming place. My wife and i were searching for a church that really connected with us and found the garden have never left ever since 5 months later . I highly recommend we love the pastor and his sons and there insight and well knowledge really keeps us wanting more.

Tom has for years kept the main thing the main thing when many have decided to share truth with trepidation and fear. Without question the truth of the gospel is not always in vogue nor is it popular. Yet we live in a season that is desperate for an antidote and it’s Truth and the greatest foundation truth has is and always has been Jesus Christ the living Son of God! Is the Garden perfect?... no, filled with real humans like me who are imperfect? .... yes! I am thankfull I hear weekly what the Bible says unsensored. Is the church modern, is it relative, yes! Is it seaker sensitive in it’s own way, yes but come at your own risk because truth will transform you when it’s messenger is motivated by Care, Love, and Heavens desire to see you free! Thank you staff and team for creating a place that Shannon and I can come and Worship our Savior and Hear Truth!
