Very good and friendly service. I would recommend to anyone looking for a barber shop.:)

I have been going here for a while and getting my hair cut by Jordan. He is the best to work with as he listens to what you are looking for and comes through each and every time. Always a good selection of whiskey, beer and other drink to have while getting your hair cut. I would and have recommended Varnished Gentleman to everyone I know.

Was a client here for 3 years. During Covid they raised prices because they had to change to 45 min appointment slots to disinfect between clients. No big deal. Well they went back to 30 minute appointments and price stayed high. Website says one price but in the shop they charge more than what is listed. Here’s the kicker. I had a appointment scheduled for Monday. Sunday I get a text message, that my barber who I have been scheduled with every 3 weeks for years, no longer works there and to call if I need anything. Well I called today and they are all booked “sorry”. I think a phone call would have been nice and maybe a attempt to squeeze me in as I have a business trip tomorrow. It was a good run but I am now just left scrambling for a haircut today. Kinda feels like they don’t really care.

The veneer quickly faded after an unfortunate display of haughty behavior during a conversation with Jordan Hovater, and, on separate occasion, the owner of Varnished, Brett Sellingham. As a result of researching customer satisfaction reviews, I found similar negative experiences including bad cuts, overpricing, even a situation that would lead someone to question the integrity of business happening at Varnished due to an interaction underlining financial dispute between Brett Sellingham and another business owner on Yelp. Even though research showed a consistent theme, I allowed Varnished a chance to provide a different narrative based on an individualized customer experience, as a loyal customer for some time. Nope. Phil McNulty gave a decent cut, but would be better off elsewhere. Collectively, Varnished consists of Mediocre haircuts, unjustifiably pie-in-the-sky prices, self-centered, poor business acquisition, greed, and insulting customer service. They book half-hour windows and demand stylists to push products. Customers are not a priority! All while charging ridiculous prices. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere worthwhile. American Barber in Concord, NH is an excellent example of a good business model, decent stylists, and competitive customer care. For $25 you can get a proper fade and a beard trim. That is almost half to cost as well as twice the bang for your buck and they will treat you with respect, appreciation, and honesty.

They will be able to do that for you but I'd call them directly to confirm.
They have 2 options....one for basic $16 and another more advanced for $35. The $35 is much worth it!
