I’m only giving two stars for Dr Lasky and the security guard in the ER. We went for my daughter having a weird chest pain at 1:30 this morning. The moment we showed up, there was no one at the desk but two people waiting in the waiting room. When she showed up she kept pointing to a small speaker in the widow literally yelling “TALK HERE I CANT HEAR YOU!” So we leaned closer and had to yell our info in front of the other people waiting. She threw her hands up, flustered if we spoke anything below hollering and finally moved a wooden slat so there was a small gap in the window. We didn’t wait long before we get called back and only one of us was allowed back at first, but once they found out we had tested positive a couple weeks ago I was made to feel like we shouldn’t have brought her in. She had to go to the bathroom, which the nice security guard told us where it was so I led her and was immediately scolded by the nurse “you need to go back to the room because of Covid, you can’t be out and about like this” and when I hesitated to leave my daughter I was waved back with him saying “come on, let’s go you have to go back”. I’m sorry, I’m not making my 10 year old hold it for hours. Just as I was heading back to the room my husband comes back and tells me he was yelled at by the woman up front, word for word, “YOU’RE OUT HERE INFECTING OTHER PEOPLE YOU NEED TO GO BACK THERE NOW” in front of the other two people waiting, while my husband was sitting across the waiting room from them as far as he could be sitting from them. Found it ironic that at the check in desk there’s a sign that says something along the lines of “privacy is a right to everyone” while the woman at the desk is yelling at my husband and we had to yell our personal info. Dr. Lasky was very kind. But we’ll find another ER in the future.

Our Dad recently has gone to the Emergency Room, then been admitted, twice in recent weeks. The care and professionalism have been outstanding! Dr. Billadeau and the entire 2nd floor staff treated him with the utmost respect, while being very thorough in their care for him. Our family is very grateful for all the staff in the Emergency Room who attended to him as well as to the 2nd floor medical team for treating him. You all truly deserve 10 stars! You are appreciated more than you know.

Could not be more pleased with every staff member I encountered this evening! The registrar Mary was so polite & friendly. Our nurse & doctor were not only friendly, they actually listened to what I was saying. Treated myself & my daughter with nothing less then courtesy & kindness. I had taken my daughter to urgent care yesterday where after 3 hours was told her symptoms were viral & we had to let it run its course. Within the first 2 minutes of the doctor here looking at her he could tell it was more serious then that & treated the problem! My daughter is a very anxious girl & she was the most relaxed I had ever seen her! If I could give these 3 peeps 10 stars I would!!!

It’s easy to forget how lucky we are to have Monadnock Community Hospital here in Peterborough. Around the country local hospitals are closing and people are left traveling long distances for routine and emergency care. I recently had surgery at MCH and can’t stop raving about the amazing care I received. From the pre-surgery appointments and tests, to the surgery to the 2 days in-patient recovering I was treated with kindness and professionalism every step of the way. During the highest point of the Covid surge, I felt like their only patient. I wish I knew the name of everyone who cared for me, I would like to thank each and every one of them. There are many I never met, working behind the scenes or during my surgery. The ones I did meet offered help, provided clear instructions and obviously cared deeply for their patients. In addition to the wonderful MCH team were soldiers from the NH National Guard delivering meals! These unexpected workers brightened my day each time they came in the room in their military uniforms. Please join me in showing your appreciation for the MCH and their team by putting a positive review on Google. Use their services whenever you can and thank their workers when you see them. Our local hospital and its workers are a vital community resource and what would we do without them??

Thanks, so they have a monopoly. Very interesting article! Concord and Saint Jo's out of network? Wow no wonder people go out of state. Other than new London and Lebanon the hospitals are rated terrible. The top hospitals in new england are Boston Children's, mass general, and Brigham and womans they are a non profit and all have same owner. Too bad for NH we have little choice and low score on hospitals.
