Nice transit center. Metro, commuter rail (VRE), buses, taxis. Much brighter and better looking after the recent renovation. Very convenient.

Pretty nice for a train station. It's a good way to get to DC when on vacation. It wasn't too busy when I went there. Plus, going to DC by train is totally recommended if you want to avoid the rush hour of that area.

There is a large covered parking garage.
About an hour. Beats driving.
Definitely enough space for parking. Metro is usually on time and has a great app you can use to plan your trip. It will tell you how long the trip will be so you can estimate what time you need to arrive at the station.
No blue lines: "No train service. Arlington Cemetery Station closed. Additional Yellow Line service will operate between Franconia-Springfield and Mt Vernon Sq" "No Blue Line service. Franconia-Springfield and Van Dorn St. stations will be served by additional Yellow Line service operating between Franconia-Springfield and Mt Vernon Sq. Arlington Cemetery Station closed. 7am on Saturday
You might be able to buy metro cards online at WMATA.com and have preloaded cards mailed to you.
I suggest checking the schedule on WMATA.com
Catch either VRE or Amtrak to Qauntico, its a separate platform the left after you get through the exit payment turnstiles. Make sure to check the schedule as VRE south is only afternoons/early evenings and Amtrak has limited trains at this station.
Yes. Construction is continuing but you can access the station and platform. Trains are arriving and departing from only 1 side of the platform.
Is working.
Try the DC Metro Transit app
First train leaves Springfield at 7am.
You have to transfer to the red, I think.
I believe Foggy Bottom is the closest stop on the Blue line.

Either in the pickup lane (don't stop in the two traffic lanes) or in the kiss & ride section of the garage
There are spaces but you have to search for them
According to the WMATA (Metro) website, the cost would be $3.84 Non Rush Hour and $5.40 Rush Hour.
Yes. There are meters outside.
About 7.5 miles
No exactly sure. There is a board inside the station that list the prices to the other Metro stations. Or you can ask the station manager. Smart move taking the train.
$5.40 Peak Fare & $3.85 Off Peak Fare
Not sure. Check their website.
M-F $4.95 all day($8.95 all day for non-riders)Sat $2.00 all day($8.95 all day for non-riders) To get the lower rate you have to pay using a smartrip card
Parking is $4.95 for a 24hr period, you have to have a special permit to park longer than 24hrs, those are in short supply
They have reserved spaces for overnight, but I think it's only 3 days.
